Display Allcafe(38) coffee(19) chateauguay(7) matcha(5) latte(5) nice place(3) options(3) terrasse(3) propre(3)their matcha latte literally taste like sugar. I don't taste the matcha at all just pure sweetness. But overall atmosphere is so nice!!
We have come here many times though there are some things worth mentioning from our last experience (Nov.4). Got a matcha pistachio latte for the first time. Had a serious upset stomach afterwards. Come to find out after contacting the cafe's Facebook, that it may be the extra sugary syrup that was placed in the drink, versus oat milk gone bad. I just thought they used normal matcha & normal pistachio as ingredients versus syrups. From now on, I will have to specifically ask how my drink order is actually made. You may also consider placing a time limit at the tables to let incoming customers have a place to sit. It was so congested when we went with the majority being single customers having a whole table to themselves with their computers. For that reason, it's somewhat more pleasant to come here during nice summer weather when you can enjoy the outdoor seating, even if the tables may not necessarily be wiped. I also heard a staff member (we'll call them Member D) say to another in French: "wash your hands aha". Not sure what that was about but somewhat strange. Staff should know to wash, as that's important etiquette. Usually, we would grab our drinks when they are ready on the counter. Yesterday, Member D brought it over to us. All staff members look calm, relaxed, in the zone completing orders except for Member D.
Overall, this is quite a nice cafe. Ambiance & service are good & staff are friendly. One rather minor complaint: when it's busy, the baristas should simplify the elaborate artistic creations they apparently feel compelled to leave in the froth of your latte. TBO, some of the designs are quite impressive, but when there's a lineup or you're ordering to go, it's just not necessary.
