I love everything there! With my gluten-free & dairy-free diet (vegan until recently), Vegateau is like paradise for me. Their cookies, muffins, cupcakes & tarts are all delicious. Their cakes are the best vegan birthday cakes! My wife doesn't have any food restriction & says the Paris-Brest is the best she's ever had, even when compared to those she ate in France. Highly recommended!
Wow!!! Je viens de découvrir cette pâtisserie y a 1 mois car je suis une diet sans produit laitier ni gluten! Quelle surprise leurs desserts !!
Je suis française alors la pâtisserie avec du goût je connais 😉 & j'ai beaucoup de mal à être satisfaite à Montréal, malgré des pâtisseries tenues par les Français (pas les mêmes produits ni même recette faites). j'ai été surprise d'adorer leur pâtisserie !! J'en ai goûté 5 au moins. Seul leur cookie était bof.
L'eclair aux noix de pacanes une tuerie !!! L'entremet chocolat est super bon, pas trop lourd pour une personne fan de chocolat.
Si vous chercher le meilleur chocolat chaud fait maison, c'est chez eux, avec le lait de coco c'est onctueux!!
J'ai amené plusieurs amis, ils ont tous adoré ce qu'ils ont pris!
Les bémols : ils déménagent 😞 & seulement 3 tables, espérons il y aura plus de place pour se régaler !
Great place. They are soon moving to mile end location. I recommend checking out their online menu & selecting the popular items. Some items are bit heavier on the flavouring & won't taste good as their most popular item, lemon tarte (like the matcha tarte..matcha tarte needs like big salt sugar sprinkled on the top due to heaviness of coconut)
Très bonne place pour acheter des gâteaux vegan sans gluten. Il y a aussi de petits produits en vente libre sur le contoir, les chandelles sont très bien

I tried this place twice on UberEATS. The most recent experience with their cupcakes was very disappointing. The cupcake was very dry. The'frosting' had a skin on it - a thick one, kind of like gravy when you don't stir it often enough.
I tried the lemon cupcake, the raspberry & their chocolate one - each one was dry & all three frostings had a skin on them. After trying them, I threw them all out. Not sure if this is what vegan is supposed to taste like or if the cupcakes were not fresh but given the amount of positive reviews, I was quite surprised I had such a poor experience.
**I did try removing the skin to access the fresher icing, but the skin just mixed it which made for a very unpleasant texture.
OMG je ne m'attendais jamais à manger des desserts aussi bons sans gluten & sans lactose!
& là … non seulement ils sont bons, mais bien plus que ça WOW
J'ai pris une boîte de 6 éclairs & une boîte de 6 cupcakes: tout était délicieux, bien équilibré, pas du tout'fade' comme on l'imagine parfois avec le sans gluten. Le prix est largement mérité pour la qualité.

J'ai commandé une bûche de Noël pour 4-6 personnes & quelle déception! Mes 3 colocataires & moi étions bouche bée de la si petite taille de celle-ci. La bûche est pour 2 personnes, voir 3 au grand maximum. & nous ne sommes pas de grands mangeurs. Vraiment très déçus surtout que la photo est malhonnête & que la taille de la boîte laisse aussi penser que la bûche est beaucoup plus longue. Pour $35, une belle arnaque. Nous ne recommanderons plus chez eux

- Crème glacée classique ($4.95 petit) - great texture & flavour. Always order it classic
- Biscuit matcha ($9.50 for 6) - still the best GF cookies we've found in town
- Entremet à la mangue-fruit de la passion ($6.50) - bright tart flavour. Pistachio base adds a touch of nuttiness
I'm a long ways from Montreal, Calgary to be exact. My kids are there for a few days & I wanted to surprise them with some delicious vegan pastries! I search the web for a bakery close to where they are & ordered a six pack of cupcakes. Delivered right to the door!
Online order was super easy!
I got word this morning that they were fantastic!!!! Best they ever had !
