We were so excited to try Veganarie's takeout & it did not disappoint!
The food was hot & looked so good & smelled so nice, that we didn't take any pictures.
We ordered the Pikilia, Gyro Pita, Lamb Pita, Kofta Pita, Chicken Pita, Small Mess Burger, Philly Cheesesteak Sub, & the star was the Smoked Meat Sandwich. Everything was insanely good, & we couldn't believe it was all vegan. After six years of vegan eating, this brought back all the comfort-food memories. A true hidden gem.

Clean, cozy space with super friendly staff. Arie & the team made my partner & me feel welcome right away.
Everything here is vegan & thoughtfully made. The chocolate raspberry cheesecake was rich & perfectly balanced. The shrimp po'boy sub was crispy & flavorful, & the philly cheeze steak sub was hearty & satisfying. The fries with gravy were the perfect side.
Whether you're vegan or just curious, this spot is worth a visit. We'll definitely be back.
It was the first time that my girlfriend & I ate here & it totally blew our mind. Here's what we ordered & what we thought about each item:
- Fried shrimps (w/ Cajun & Bang! Bang! sauce): the crust on the outside is crispy, the inside has a slightly bouncy texture & a'shrimp-like' flavor (like what you'd expect from eating shrimp).
- Animal Fries: the star is definitely the cheese whiz & the gravy that bring the dish together. It makes my girlfriend feel nostalgic for it reminds her of her childhood poutine. The portion is for 2-3 people.
- Oklahoma Smashburger (x2 patties): it's a flavor bomb 💣💥. The buns are well toasted. The patties are perfectly seasoned with a really nice crust on the edges, really delicious with the melted cheese & the caramelized onions. This is our most favorite dish of all.
- Philly Cheezesteak Sub: the sandwich is wrapped in aluminum foil to keep the fillings hot for a very long time (they were very generous with the fillings when knowing that we love mushrooms). The'meat' is well seasoned & very tender as expected.
- Raspberry Choco Cheesecake: very refreshing, a great way to finish our meal. The flavor of each ingredient is very balanced. Since nothing is too overpowering, we can easily tell the raspberry, the chocolate & the cream cheese flavors apart. & it's not too sweet 👍.
Overall, we are both super happy with the quality of the food & the service. What we expect from a vegan restaurant is their ability to replicate the same or similar flavors & texture of the non-vegan dishes without using animal products & Veganarie has beautifully executed it.
FYI: they also organize special community events like cabane à sucre in March, which we are looking forward to.
11/10 IT IS A MUST VISIT 😍, I am vegetarian since birth & I must say this man has magic in his hands 🥳. I loved the creating & his amazing knowledge about food industry. I tried greek platter, sub & even vegan shrimps & trust me it's to die for. The texture, taste & everything was beyond delicious 💕. It's not a paid review but out of my heart to support this man & his business. I love supporting & trying authentic food, I tried Greek gyro & it was yumm. Everything was amazing 😌& trust me if you will go there once you can't resist yourself. Visited him twice in 3 days & totally worth it.
Absolutely incredible food & service! We got the Cajun Shrimp, Gyro, Philly Cheese Steak, Steak & Pepperoni Sub & Greek Burger. Everything was 10/10, the textures of the meat alternatives are the best I've ever had. Even the non-vegans approved! We will definitely be back :) THANK YOU

VEGANARIE is such a gem! Authentic Greek vegan food. The food here are absolutely incredible. I had a Philly Cheesesteak Sub, spanakopita, baklava (Served warm & delicious.) & wifey had the Gyro. This is truly food that you can taste the love it was made with. Every bite was packed with flavour & perfectly cooked.
Definitely a must-visit for anyone seeking a delightful Vegan / plant-based meal in a charming setting! Can't wait to go back again!
Amazing luck to have found this place en route from Kingston to the airport. An unassuming hole in the wall, tucked in a residential neighbourhood, this is not what you think of when you think vegan food. Although you can find some lighter /healthy options, this is super delicious comfort food that knocks your socks off. Not the granola & sprouts kinda place. Between us, we were one vegan, one vegetarian & one meat-eater; we all left extraordinarily happy, with our bellies perhaps a little too full! &, the meat-eater was still raving 24 hours later!
Owner Arie with son Josh cooking, it felt they were feeding you; like you were thier personal guest.
The sandwiches, (beef & pepperoni sub, falafel pita & soy kofta), were each out-of-world, all so filled the max with flavour & sauce, they met my 'it's not good unless it drips down to your elbow' benchmark. The tzatziki was rich & creamy, & YaYa's backavav with apple'hunny'…. I wish she was there so I could hug her!
Totally worth the drive for plant-based eaters, & for all your carnivores also!
I can't say enough good things about this place! The food is absolutely incredible-bursting with authentic Greek flavors while being 100% vegan. Every dish is thoughtfully crafted, from the rich, savoury gyro pita to the perfectly crispy spanakopita. The menu is diverse, offering everything from fresh, vibrant salads to hearty, satisfying entrees (pita plates, burgers, subs, etc).
What truly sets this restaurant apart, though, is the owner. His passion for making vegan food accessible & enjoyable for everyone shines through in every bite. You can tell he put his heart & soul into creating dishes that honour Greek culinary traditions while being completely plant-based.
Whether you're a lifelong vegan or just curious about trying something new, this place is a must-visit! The warm, welcoming atmosphere & exceptional food make it an experience you won't forget. Highly recommend!

We ordered the Philly Cheesesteak Sub, Soy Kofta Pita, & Mozzarella Cheese Sticks. The food was absolutely delicious! Arie is a fantastic host, the atmosphere is great, & the prices are reasonable. The quality & portion sizes are excellent.
Everything was perfect, we will definitely be back! Highly recommended for vegans
The food is awesome. I tried the Italian Boeuf Sub & was delicious. My wife's gyro was also great. Prices are good & service was excellent. For sure we will come back.
Not my first time at this establishment. I am not vegan & tried the Steak & Pepperoni sub & Arancini with marinara sauce! Totally couldn't tell it was vegan!! Was so full had to take the other 1/2 home. Will definitely have this again soon!
This was my first visit & I'll be returning! The food is 100% vegan which allows for my daughter to order whatever she wants as there is no chance of there being any dairy in the food. Portions are generous & everything we ordered was absolutely delicious. We started with the pikilia for two. I followed that with a skewer of shitake "lamb" with Greek lemon potatoes & the house salad. My daughter ordered a "cheese" sub. We both brought home leftovers. Eat in, take out or delivery with popular apps. No alcohol licence. Family owned! The eat in area is not huge so I would recommend reservations at busy times or for larger groups.

We chose to eat at the Veganerie for our anniversary because of a friends recommendation. Boy was it worth it. Amazing staff, amazing atmosphere & truly authentic, delicious food. They make amazing subs! I recommend the steak & pepperoni, it's the best I've ever had. Their poutines are banging as well. It takes me back to my high school days going to the little greasy resto by school for lunch. I haven't been able to find that as a Vegan until today. I highly recommend. Ari & Brenda are amazing. We need to support small businesses like Veganerie where they make their food with love & care!!!! 🍔🥙🌯
Outstanding! I am not vegan. My daughter is vegan & my wife is trying a plant based diet as well. We came here for lunch & to bring some food home. Wife & I shared subs. Philly cheezesteak & steak & pepperoni sub & the poutine I'm completely serious when I say that I would not have known that the food was vegan if I hadn't known already. The owner said that the recipes are all his & honestly he should be proud of that. The food was amazing, the service was excellent. It was well worth the trip from Ile Perrot & I look forward to going back & trying something else. Well done sir!
Genuinely so good, the whole table loved their meals. Their VFC chicken is excellent, their burgers are amazing, their subs were great too. Great service & friendly staff.
We took a detour to Veganarie on our way through the West Island & it was totally worth it. The best vegan Greek food we've tried in more than 25 years of eating plant-based. Favourites included the lamb skewer & Pikilia for 2 - amazing kopanisti, tzatziki & pita. We also tried a few items from the classic menu. Loved the Italian Sausage Sub & authentic-tasting poutine. Impressive! Will be back to try more.
