We visited Veganarie during Greek Orthodox Lent with a party of six, & it was an unforgettable experience. The food was absolutely phenomenal - fresh, vibrant, & packed with flavor. Highlights included the new Smoked'No-Meat' Sandwich, the Grilled Chicken Breast Plate, savory Souvlaki & Gyro Pitas, hearty Vegan Poutines, & the indulgent Small Mess Burger. Every dish showed how comfort food can be completely plant-based without sacrificing taste.
The restaurant is a cozy, family-run spot with just 20 seats & a relaxed café vibe, so we highly suggest making a reservation to secure your spot. If dining in isn't an option, their takeout & delivery options do not disappoint - you won't regret it. Even if you're not vegan or observing Lent, like our family, Veganarie's menu is so satisfying that you'll want to eat here all year round. A true hidden gem in Montreal!

The food was hot & looked so good & smelled so nice, that we didn't take any pictures.
We ordered the Pikilia, Gyro Pita, Lamb Pita, Kofta Pita, Chicken Pita, Small Mess Burger, Philly Cheesesteak Sub, & the star was the Smoked Meat Sandwich. Everything was insanely good, & we couldn't believe it was all vegan. After six years of vegan eating, this brought back all the comfort-food memories. A true hidden gem.
We'll definitely be back!

As long-time vegans visiting Montreal with my wife & kids, Veganarie completely wowed us. The menu hits all the comfort-food classics we love, from hearty poutines to loaded gyros, & everything tastes fresh, flavorful, & satisfying. The kids couldn't get enough of the vegan burgers, & we loved the creative twists on Greek favourites. Friendly staff, cozy vibe, & a menu that makes vegan eating fun for the whole family. We'll definitely be back next time we're in town!
The food was amazing, & we're a family of omnivores.
We tried the kofta, lamb pita, Greek burger, a mess burger, spanakopita with tzatziki, & a some smoked meat sandwiches (or several visits).
We couldn't believe there was no meat in these.
You have to try this place.
The food was great at Veganarie, I really enjoyed the Spanakopita & Small Mess Burger in particular. The owner Arie was very hospitable & friendly, & really made our dining experience a pleasure! I'm looking forward to my next visit, there's a lot more to try!
Absolutely incredible food & service! We got the Cajun Shrimp, Gyro, Philly Cheese Steak, Steak & Pepperoni Sub & Greek Burger. Everything was 10/10, the textures of the meat alternatives are the best I've ever had. Even the non-vegans approved! We will definitely be back :) THANK YOU

I can't say enough good things about this place! The food is absolutely incredible-bursting with authentic Greek flavors while being 100% vegan. Every dish is thoughtfully crafted, from the rich, savoury gyro pita to the perfectly crispy spanakopita. The menu is diverse, offering everything from fresh, vibrant salads to hearty, satisfying entrees (pita plates, burgers, subs, etc).
What truly sets this restaurant apart, though, is the owner. His passion for making vegan food accessible & enjoyable for everyone shines through in every bite. You can tell he put his heart & soul into creating dishes that honour Greek culinary traditions while being completely plant-based.
Whether you're a lifelong vegan or just curious about trying something new, this place is a must-visit! The warm, welcoming atmosphere & exceptional food make it an experience you won't forget. Highly recommend!
Super quaint vegan restaurant. Very busy tonight on Valentine's & the (I presume) owner was very kind & apologetic for the wait which was WELL worth it. Large, generous, tasty portions. My husband loved the gyro pita & I my chicken pita. My daughter loved her smash burger. We will be back. Thank you for delicious vegan Greek eats!!!
I had the messy burger & the fries with gravy. This meal exceeded my expectations! It was soooo tasty & so well put together. Many vegan places disappoint but this is absolutely worth it ! On point for flavours, portions & quality. I will be exploring the rest of the menu.
Très bonne première expérience au Veganarie. Excellente nourriture & le propriétaire était vraiment accueillant & avait à coeur la satisfaction des clients. C'est vraiment le restaurant où aller pour de la nourriture réconfortante vegan, burgers, poutine, frites, nourriture grec, sous-marin, etc. Vous pourriez même amener des non vegan pour leur prouver que la nourriture vegan c'est pas juste de la salade ,des légumineuses & du tofu. J'ai été avec mon conjoint & on a pris tous les deux un sous-marin avec frites , lui steak & pepperoni & moi avec le viande haché & la sauce cheezwez. J'ai été comblée, car j'aime vraiment les sauces au fromage végétalien. En plus, ça fait changement des restaurants végétaliens en plein coeur du centre-ville. Je ne suis pas celle qui vais le plus souvent au restaurant, mais ils vont me revoir. Bref, je recommande !

An absolute must-visit for anyone who loves incredible food! The menu is packed with creative, flavorful options that will impress vegans & non-vegans alike. Every dish I tried was fresh, perfectly seasoned, & beautifully presented. The gyros, & Philly steak as well as the burgers were an absolute standout, & the desserts were simply divine-rich, satisfying, & entirely plant-based. You can tell the team takes pride in using high-quality ingredients & crafting each dish with care with a very warm welcoming. This is hands down one of the best vegan dining experiences I've had in the West Island. Highly recommend checking it out-you won't be disappointed!
Super friendly, we had the cheese burger & lamb gyros. Everything was absolutely delicious, I couldn't even tell it was vegan (from a non-vegan). Can't wait to go back!
Family owned, small but mighty! We dined in & were so impressed with the flavours, freshness & quality of the Greek salad, small mess burger & the French fries. These hard working folks are clearly dedicated to creating top quality vegan meals & very good prices, & the service was excellent! We really enjoyed talking to Arie about his food & the journey that got him here. Staff are very personable & patient. I highly recommend this place for all food lovers, not just vegans. The French fries were perfection!!
I tried the restaurant tonight for the first time. Arie, & his partner were very friendly, & easy going. I got the Jr smash burger, just to try; I'm not vegan, but I was curious. I was blown away! It was quite possibly the best burger I have ever had. It was just amazing. The wife & I are already planning a family meal there with our two kids. I am definitely going to be a repeat customer!
