Anywhere with a 5* rating I'm a little skeptical - don't be! This place was great. Really friendly chef who helped with suggestions. Sushi was made fresh with only about a 10 minute wait (& they were busy!). Rolls were really tasty & a great size to be easily eaten.View more

From someone who's had sushi all over the globe, including Michelin-starred restaurants, Nobu, & the freshest spots in Hawaii, I can confidently say this place is the absolute best. Seriously, forget everything you think you know about sushi until you've eaten here. The fish is unbelievably fresh, the rice is perfectly seasoned, & the chef's knife skills are out of this world. Each piece is a work of art, bursting with flavor & melting in your mouth. This isn't just a meal; it's a sushi experience that will ruin all other sushi for you.View more

It is absolutely no exaggeration when I say that this is the best poke bowl I've ever had! & I have traveled to Hawaii. The bowl is delicious, the ingredients are fresh, & the portion is generous. The same goes for sushi. You can tell that the owner, who btw. is very friendly & welcoming, takes great care in how he prepares the food & in choosing the best ingredients. The sushi at Uto is absolutely amazing, the best in MTL in my opinion. It is so fresh & the owner is also lovely! We had a big order of takeout & he was able to get it done in about 40 minutes, which was a feat considering he is working completely solo as a new business owner. I would highly recommend Uto sushi to anyone (#16 is AMAZING), plus its close proximity to Parc Jeanne-Mance makes it the perfect take away option for a nice picnic.View more
