Urban Crave offers a welcoming atmosphere for travelers, consistently serving a variety of delicious menu items such as poutine, poke bowls, and breakfast plates. Many guests appreciate the quick and efficient service that fits well within tight airport schedules, noting that the staff is often friendly, professional, and genuinely compassionate toward those in need of comfort during their journey. While pricing reflects standard airport expectations, the quality of the food and the hospitality provided create a positive experience for many visitors who frequently return to enjoy a satisfying meal before their flights.
I recently stopped by Urban Crave while at the airport, & while I didn't expect much given that it's airport food, I was pleasantly surprised. I ordered a beer & a quesadilla, & it was exactly what I was looking for - simple, tasty, & satisfying. The beer was cold & refreshing, but what really made the experience memorable was the amazing service. The two ladies working there were absolutely charming, engaging with every customer & creating a warm, friendly atmosphere. One of them, Kathy, went above & beyond when I asked for some help with my flight information. She actually ran over to my gate to check the flight number & confirm the time, making sure I was all set. It was such a thoughtful gesture, & I was genuinely in awe of her kindness. Thank you, Kathy, for turning an ordinary airport meal into such a delightful experience!
Had to turn my head & look for a waiter/ waitress in order to get noticed & have my order taken. Food was overpriced. One drink & a smoked meat sandwich came to $40. Asked if I could use the rest of my Canadian cash & pay the rest on card & was told that wouldn't be an option (truly no reason it shouldn't be) waitor mumbled where to go to pay & when asked him to repeat what he said cause I didn't hear him, acted extremely annoyed. Employees here clearly need to change their attitude. Food was good tho, not worth the price.
I had the fish & chips. The fish was decent, but I was disappointed with the fries. Seems easy, righ? But they were stale & "bottom of the bag" fries. Fry pieces, or really short fries. The bartender squirted half of someone's lime garnish all over me. Why her, the other bartender, & two other patrons, thought it was funny was beyond me. If I would've hauled off & smacked her, who wouldve laughed then, I wonder? Needless to say, I remained a good sport, but didn't sppreciate it AT ALL. Save your money, it was over priced being in the airport, & subpar at best.
Not sure why so many low reviews. I stopped here while waiting for my flight near gate 6 domestic & sat at the bar. The waitress was very friendly, I never felt rushed & she topped off my water very promptly. After taking my order we were both surprised at how fast the poutine was ready. We both audibly wow'd haha. Probably like 3 minutes & I was eating. It wasn't cold & tasted fine. I mean sure, the portion was fairly small, expensive & the quality was just okay. But for an airport poutine it was pretty decent! $15 for a Stella Artois & $12 for a labatte bleue is robbery though, & the wooden chairs are not very comfortable. Hence the 4 star. Service was excellent though, thank you Chantal.
Urban Crave offers delicious food at YUL Airport. Portions are decently sized & service is alright. Prices..... well... it's what you'd expect for an airport; a little bit on the pricey side. Overall, the restaurant reminds me of the meme that I've attached to this review (& fyi, the burger is actually $22.50 but does include a side of potato chips).
Had my airport breakfast here. Staff was very friendly for 6am, the chef even made sure I was enjoying my food himself. It's in the airport so prices are what they are. But I will definitely go & enjoy the eggs benny next time I'm through.
Very lovely waitress, very fast, cordial & efficient. The concept is kinda funny here: it's basically a diner counter that claims to do international street food, but in reality it's classic burgers & sandwiches with some samosas & korean fried chicken. I had the breakfast so I can't say how their international cuisine tastes. The breakfast was fine though, nothing special & a bit pricey, but this is an airport diner we're talking about. One funny thing was how expensive their drink menu was. Easily the most expensive beers in the domestic terminal. They sell Archibald pints marked up 50% from what Archibald sells them for in the same terminal. Not highway robbery, but i think they are relying on the fact they're the only place to grab a drink that far down the domestic departures. One thing I noticed & see repeated here in other reviews is that the place isn't really managed...like, at all. I tried to use a dragonpass coupon that wasn't working, & there was no manager there to assist. The waitress helped me best she could, but she was very clearly alone & without assistance or guidance. They should probably work on that.
