Review Summary

Urban Crave offers a varied airport dining experience where opinions on the quality of food and service are quite mixed. Many guests praise the prompt, friendly, and compassionate staff who go out of their way to make travelers feel welcome, particularly highlighting tasty options like poutine, wraps, and breakfast plates. While several visitors appreciate the convenient portions and hospitable atmosphere, others report inconsistent service, ranging from long wait times and rushed interactions to frustration over pricing and mandatory tipping expectations. Although some diners find the meals to be a reliable and satisfying choice before a flight, others have encountered issues with food preparation and feel that the overall value does not always meet expectations for an airport venue.

I had the poke bowl. I wish I didn't. The rice wasn't cooked through fully so I almost broke a tooth on the first bite. Sent it back & got a chicken sandwich instead. Sandwich was alright. They gave me a $3 discount for my trouble, but I don't think that will cover the dentist. Would not recommend

I ordered a smoked meat sandwich to go. The waitress asked if I wanted to switch my side from chips to something else, so I upgraded to poutine. The sandwich itself was about $24.

When my order came out, it was served as dine-in instead of takeout, so they had to redo it. The final bill ended up being close to $40.

Unfortunately, the sandwich was very small & the portion size overall was disappointing for the price. The smoked meat also tasted like the kind of pre-packaged product you'd get frozen from a place like Costco rather than freshly prepared deli meat.

Overall, it felt extremely overpriced for what you get, with small portions & low food quality. I do not recommend this restaurant. Unfortunately, most likely if you're reading my review, you already went through security. They over charge because they know your options are very limited. If you can wait to get on your flight, the food on Air Canada flights is better & cheaper than here.

The smoked meat was terrible & not as shown in the pictures in front of the restaurant. Basically cold cuts, heated & sandwiched with rye bread.

Cold fries, a smoked meat sandwich the size of my palm. A sliver of a pickle. Total waste of 30 $
Friendly fast service from the waitress though.

Being in Montreal it's just right to find a restaurant that sells Montreal Smoked Sandwiches. We order one along with poutine. Food was out fast & the Montreal Smoked Meat was tasty. Little tough. Expensive for what u get. Not very thick. $25:00 for the sandwich. Extra for poutine. Next time hopefully we can stop into a real Montreal Smoked beef sandwich restaurant.I know they are thicker with meat.

I really enjoyed the smoked meat sandwich. Although it was only half a sandwich, it was very tasty. It came with homemade chips that were crispy & fresh. Additionally, there is power charging available right at the tables, which is very convenient for travelers. The price is higher like all airports.

Had to turn my head & look for a waiter/ waitress in order to get noticed & have my order taken. Food was overpriced. One drink & a smoked meat sandwich came to $40. Asked if I could use the rest of my Canadian cash & pay the rest on card & was told that wouldn't be an option (truly no reason it shouldn't be) waitor mumbled where to go to pay & when asked him to repeat what he said cause I didn't hear him, acted extremely annoyed. Employees here clearly need to change their attitude. Food was good tho, not worth the price.

Very lovely waitress, very fast, cordial & efficient. The concept is kinda funny here: it's basically a diner counter that claims to do international street food, but in reality it's classic burgers & sandwiches with some samosas & korean fried chicken. I had the breakfast so I can't say how their international cuisine tastes. The breakfast was fine though, nothing special & a bit pricey, but this is an airport diner we're talking about. One funny thing was how expensive their drink menu was. Easily the most expensive beers in the domestic terminal. They sell Archibald pints marked up 50% from what Archibald sells them for in the same terminal. Not highway robbery, but i think they are relying on the fact they're the only place to grab a drink that far down the domestic departures. One thing I noticed & see repeated here in other reviews is that the place isn't really managed...like, at all. I tried to use a dragonpass coupon that wasn't working, & there was no manager there to assist. The waitress helped me best she could, but she was very clearly alone & without assistance or guidance. They should probably work on that.

It's a restaurant at an airport so if you don't have any expectations it's pretty awesome. Smoke meat sandwich was actually really good, Caesar salad was ok, service is good & very quick
