I have travelled to multiple jazz clubs globally over the past few years, & nothing has come close to Upstairs Jazz Club. I visited with my friends & we all had an exceptional experience. Our server was charismatic, well informed, polite, & the food was unbelievable. The show was very entertaining; as me & my friends were blown away. The atmosphere was fantastic & everyone was having a great time, along with the amazing smells & lighting. Overall, I would highly recommend the Upstairs Jazz Club to everyone looking for a great night out!

Upstairs Jazz Bar & Grill is an authentic jazz performance club & restaurant. The musicians are top flight & the club' s reputation is such that its the only off-site location for the prestigious Montreal International Jazz Festival. The food is excellent for what it is - including chicken, pasta, burgers, fish & salads. Delicious Tiramisu for dessert! "Upstairs" is a fine night out. Peter Kerr, Montreal

I spent my last night in Montreal here & my only regret is that I didn't go to one of the earlier shows. The 9:30 show on Sunday only runs for about 30 minutes. The drinks were good & the staff (Jas & Bailey) were so pleasant & kind. I'll be sure to visit again for a longer Jazz set when I return to Montreal.

Steak was great! Do not take the ceviche. Tables very tight with each other. Good music.

Parfait pour une soirée relaxe dans une ambiance décontractée & pour écouter du bin Jazz. L'accueil du personnel est sympathique & le service exceptionnel!

Excellente expérience !! Service attentionné, cuisine recherchée & ambiance électrique (le band & la chanteuse Dawn Tyler Watson y sont pour quelque chose c'est sûr). Owner knows how to make everyone feel at home !

Nous étions tout enjoué d'aller écouter Terry Buthler au Upstair. C'est notre première fois ici. Ma conjointe a réservé & bien précisé qu'elle a un hanicape auditif. Elle n'entend que d'un côté. Lors de la réservation on lui a garanti une place au centre. Malheureusement ce ne fut pas le cas. La table est dans un coin face à l'aquarium & peu importe notre position les murs sont du côté qu'elle entend bien. Ça débute très mal. Pas certains qu'on va revenir voir meme rester pour le show.

I ordered cod ceviche & got a shrimp salad with chips. There was zero fish inside. I asked the server to confirm & he said this is ceviche. I feel I am forced to order some terrible food just because I want to see the show when I already paid the ticket for the show. Some people say "you are not here for the food"but when I ordered fish ceviche, I should not be served shrimp right? The lady server had very aggressive facial expression when I tried to ask her stuff. Not very pleasant experience.
