I went in a bit later to check this place out a few nights ago. The place is nice & I had heard good music coming from there earlier, tho I was uncomfortable by the young male bartender flirting with me. He was evident. Just felt like in a place where people drink, that shouldn't happen.

Our visit to UPSTAIRS jazz bar was beyond exceptional. The service was great the bottle of wine are very well priced we had a great table & view of the band the atmosphere is very cozy & intimate with stone walls & dim lighting the food was nice. Everything was on point. The staff do a great job of attending to & anticipating needs. The establishment has a policy of quiet time during performance which is very nice I do enjoy listening & experiencing the music without the background chatter of people & people seemed to respect this rule which was another bonus. Overall I had an amazing experience at this establishment & the next time I am in Montreal I will be looking to see what performances they have booked as a re-visit is a definite must.

Upstairs Jazz Bar & Grill is a great spot to hear jazz. The food is traditional & varied from pasta to burgers. We had the nachos & burgers everything was good. The music is the star & doesn't disappoint, whether you are in the bar with a clear view of the stage or on the lovely patio with the newly installed speaker system that puts you right in the room. A great spot not to be missed when in Montreal .

Wonderful time over there for diner while enjoying Jazz band live.
Food is good, expensive but this is new reality.
Service was perfect, cocktails & beer fantastic.
My Jamieson cocktail was so good, I got to have a second!
When no live show the place is nice, cozy, music not too loud.

Drove from Buffalo for 2 of 4 jazz festival events here. FABULOUS experience. AMAZING jazz (Jon Cowherd/Steve Cardenas Quartet), wonderful dinner, & the staff could not have been more attentive & friendly. We're looking fwd to returning here in 2 days.
