The musicians did Montreal's favorite son, Oscar Peterson proud- their playing was infused with the blues & swing. Good vibe, good food.

We enjoyed a great (Wednesday) night at Upstairs. Outstanding service, good food, good company with the folk on adjoining tables & outstanding music from the resident trio for the first set followed by some outstanding musicians in the jam session that followed.

Awesome experience & music. Had a nice dinner with great service. Make a reservation…the earlier the better the seat! The bar was comfy & the higher chairs were nice in the tight space.

My daughter visited Montreal for the first time & part of her trip was to see her grandmother whom she hasn't seen since before COVID. Needless to say that Upstairs did an amazing job at making the experience memorable. The food was amazing & the atmosphere was wonderful. If you are visiting from out of town this is a must go destination

We were able to get a table last minute. Although it was in the back, referred to as'the worst table', we have a wonderful time! Ottavio our waiter was wonderful. We will be back!
We did not eat dinner but saw beautiful plates going by. Next time we will not eat before.

La musique était correcte, l'endroit un peu encombré mais globalement agréable. La nourriture, sans prétention, reste chère pour ce que c'est. Les serveurs sont adorables, rien à redire côté service. Cependant, les toilettes vous feront vivre une expérience sensorielle inoubliable. Une odeur de fermentation, d'égouts & de pur désespoir digne d'une ruelle parisienne du 17e siècle. L'odeur était insoutenable, j'ai du retenir mon souffle pour me laver les mains. En tout sincérité, revoyez vos conduits, c'est vraiment inacceptable pour un établissement qui reçoit du public. Je me suis posé de sérieuses questions sur l'hygiène générale des lieux.

Le spectacle était super bon! Le Nachos en valait le prix (23$), le petit cocktail au Gin, pour ma part, je ne l'ai pas aimé (14$). Gardez le silence durant la présentation. Deux bémols : très à l'étroit… Beaucoup trop de monde dans un si petit endroit & pensez à y aller en transport en commun, car peu de stationnements. Bref, à vivre au moins 1 fois… Merci pour le service rapide !

Reservation for a show is required & its very packed during them. That said, upstairs has created an incredible atmosphere accompanied with good food & music. What more could you want?

Service was excellent. We were greeted at the door, reservation confirmed & shown to our seats. The menu had great choices & i selected the fish & chips. Drinks & food arrived promptly, & it tasted great. I was hoping for a good show & it far exceeded my expectations. David Marino & the 3 jazz players provided a wonderful evening. I will definitely return.

The food is ok but next time I will have dinner in other places & take a later show. The sitting is too close to other tables. The sound could be improved. In case you visit because of your favorite performers, you will not care about the above.
