During my visit to Montreal, I had the pleasure of dining at Universel Déjeuners & Grillades twice, & it was a delightful experience both times! The food was absolutely delicious & incredibly filling, making it the perfect spot for breakfast. The atmosphere of the restaurant was clean & green, which added a refreshing touch to the overall dining experience. One of the highlights for me was the La Terre smoothie. It was clean, light, & packed with nutrients - a perfect complement to the hearty breakfast offerings. Every dish I tried was well-prepared & satisfying, truly showcasing the restaurant's commitment to quality. While the food & ambiance were fantastic, the service was just okay. I understand that the restaurant can get busy, but I felt that the level of mannerism in my interaction with the server could have been better. Perhaps this is the usual service style here, but it didn't quite meet the expectations I have from other restaurants. Despite this, I still had a wonderful time at Universel Déjeuners & Grillades & would recommend it for anyone looking for a great breakfast spot in Montreal. Used to come here a lot after meetings & would invite friends & colleagues there & it used to be a great place. But today, they've decided to put mushrooms in the duck risotto & refused to change it when I asked. I was told that I did not mention it when ordering, however, there is no mention of shopped mushrooms in this dish on the menu. I surely won't be coming back.Voir plus

Despite the "Busier than usual," I was seated quick, my order was taken in a prompt manner, & the food arrived very quickly. Everything was well presented & tasty. As expected from an expensive fare in a busy part of town. I just can't give five stars because the glass of water was dirty, & the water, along with the refill, tasted foul.
