Review Summary

Reviews portray Tsak-Tsak as a welcoming spot with generous portions and warm, friendly service. The menu is described as varied and homemade, with Malagasy flavors that cover brunch, lunch, and breakfast staples and offer good value. Diners frequently highlight large portions, thoughtful garnishes, and standout sauces like the house chili and a mint lemon sorbet, along with options that feel both comforting and chef driven. The atmosphere is noted as both tranquil and lively depending on the time, with some mentioning a stylish decor and others noting a worn interior and occasional noise. A few nits include pancakes that can be bland, potatoes that are a bit burnt, and a beef curry that leans more on tomato sauce than spice, plus occasional delays or service hiccups. Overall, Tsak-Tsak is seen as a solid Malagasy influenced option worth returning to for flavorful dishes, generous servings, and friendly hospitality.

Fun place to eat- 8/10

Heads up- the breakfast burger is an actual burger not just an egg sandwich!

Would go back 🎉

They have big portions. I got the gluoton & my bf got the egg platter (forgot the name). Every element of the dish was well made, even the salad! Their house made chili sauce also added a nice kick to the food. For drinks we got the chai latte & the chocolate baileys coffee. Both were really good. Would come back when we're back in Montreal

A cozy restaurant with a diverse menu to satisfy everyone. From classic brunch dishes like crêpes & Benedictine eggs to unique Malagasy specialties such as Misao (fried noodles) & special Tsak Tsak soup (dumpling noodle soup). The beverage menu features a variety of hot & cold drinks with charming names like Sunbeam & Cute Sin. Inside, the space is limited with closely spaced tables & a bit too loud to hold a normal conversation. The staff was friendly, the Americano coffee was rich & bold, & I loved my salmon Chic, adding a touch of chili sauce from the little jar on each table to give the dish a kick.
