Atmosphere alone - the best vibe for drinks, dinner...honestly anything.
Very kind staff, cocktails are unique & on point. You won't be disappointed regarding drinks.
My girlfriend is from Jamaica, born & raised, & said'this is something my mom would make...but elevated'.', she stopped eating to look at me, have a triumphant sigh, then say'this is crazy. Wow. Amazing.....this is crazy'.
So if you're look for good Caribbean food, this is it. Go. Now. Stop second guessing. Just do it. Go.
We don't have photos of the food, because it was so good we didn't stop eating. Loving out best pre-instalife in the moment.

Very clean & wonderful ambiance. The staff are very friendly & fun to interact with! The food is to die for if you like Caribbean cuisine! Highly highly recommended!

Tropikàl is a vibrant cozy lounge taking all the best cuisines, charm, & culture from each caribbean nation. We booked a late dinner, & boy are we glad we did. As the delicious foods & drinks flowed. The space slowly transformed to a dancehall hub. The DJ set up & the tables slowly disappeared. We didn't need to leave for clubbing as dinner turned into a night of dance. The Jerk calamari was the star of the show. Along with the curry goat with rice & peas tasted home-made, the roti to soak up the gravey was a nice touch. The fritters was too salty (more than saltfish fritters is expected to be). The stuffed plaintains were good, but our table was conflicted on whether the callaou was fresh. The ackee was clearly from a can, with minimal prep. The jerk tacos was on the sweeter side, which was unexpected. The spicy mango wings was good but tasted more lemon pepper than mango, still a little tangy. Their jerk dipping sauce is undefeated. Overall the staff clearly take pride in the asethics & outward appearance of the restaurant. The bathrooms, & accommodations needs serious attention.

We thoroughly enjoyed eating at Tropikal. Everything was amazing, the service, the food & the ambience. It was such a good vybe & the food was really amazing. Love the caribbean flavours with the Montreal touch. Highly recommend the calaloo dip!

I came here for my birthday with a group of 19 ppl We had to take the group menu that was shared among all of us At first i didn't think was enough food but we all ate well & had leftovers The food was 10/10 & i am Caribbean so I know good food! The service was a 8/10 Vibes were vibing 9/10 Presentation 10/10 Drinks are great a little pricy but isn't everything? Going back to celebrate my daughter's birthday Jae Anthony..hands down on presentation & taste! Bless

Our experience was underwhelming. The food was fine, but nothing exceptional. In my opinion there are other better Caribbean restaurants in Montreal. The service was fine. The restaurant really needs a cleaning reset. Half of the globes on the light fixtures are missing so it just looks cheep. Also the light fixtures that are there are SO DUSTY, they really need to be clean, it's unappealing at a restaurant. The mirrors were also really streaky & dirty. The overall restaurant didn't give me that clean vibes. We reserved, & were sat at the bar as there were no tables available. Two other groups of people who arrived after us were also going to be sat at the bar & you could tell they weren't happy. If the dinning room is limited I recommend on the reservation site you but both options dinning room & bar so at least when we arrive we aren't surprised.

A little taste of the Caribbean in Montreal. It's so refreshing to have an authentic Caribbean experience in a well organized environment. I loved the vibe, the energy & the service. Fatima was super friendly & catered to our needs so well. Highly recommend! A+++

We loved it. We just discovered this place & what a find! A classy restaurant with Caribbean vibes. The menu is next level. Not the usual mundane & traditional offerings. Everything has a delightful & delicious twist. My boyfriend said that it was the best prepared red snapper he ever had. I had jerk chicken wings & mango, tamarind chicken wings. They were a tad salty but delicious. The rice was amazing! The couch style seats were a bit too deep for me & my boyfriend thought that the rails on the stairs could have been placed from the first stair instead of the third. We had a drink while we waited & thoroughly enjoyed the ambience, music & service. We plan to return this weekend along with some friends. Thank you Tropikal.

This experience has been rather unpleasant. Initially, our reservation was rescheduled last minute due to a double booking. Upon arrival, we were informed of a two-hour dining limit, which would have been acceptable had the service not been sluggish. Our food arrived 1 hour & 40 minutes later, with no check-ins regarding drink refills, which were also diluted. The staff seemed rushed, clearing plates prematurely & presenting the bill before everyone had finished dining. As a Haitian, I am deeply disappointed by the restaurant's representation of Caribbean service. Only reason for two stars is that the food was good, overpriced, but good.

Food to salty, cocktails too sweet, plantains too soggy & overripe. Asked for a birthday dessert for other guest, by email & in person - never arrived. Birthday girl had to send her main meal back, no apology.

Great food with authentic Caribbean Flavour. Drinks are on point & excellent value for money. The club experience after hours was an awesome mix of music & the vybe never stopped. Would do this again.

If I could give this place more than 5 stars, I would. The food was amazing. Best caribbean food I ever had. Came here from Toronto & will definitely be coming back. Staff was friendly. No complaints!

Delicious & exotic cuisine. Fantastic ambiance. Professional & friendly staff. Great music. I had a wonderful birthday night. I came for the culinary experience during dinner time, & stayed for the music. My friends & I really enjoyed the experience & go back any other night during the week for drinks, dinner, & for the music. If you're looking for an immersive caribbean experience, I would highly recommend Tropikàl!
