Best sushi in Montreal, it's the only place I eat sushi. Decently priced & consistently the same quality & flavour. I've been going to Tri express since it opened 20 years ago, unfortunately the service has been getting worse & worse with time, hence why I typically do take out only. There is one waitress who seems to hate her job & looks miserable at all times. She's unwelcoming & rude, not sure why she's still there

Stepping into Tri Express feels like slipping through a hidden portal. The place itself is truly special, beautifully decorated with antique, vintage pieces inspired by the marine world. It's unique in a way that makes you want to slow down & take it all in.
The atmosphere is warm & inviting, & the service matches it perfectly. The staff are friendly, attentive. The table setup is thoughtfully done, yet simple.
Now, the food… honestly, amazing. You can taste the freshness in every bite. The menu offers a great variety, & the combinations are both creative & well-balanced. The sushi stands out, the rice is just perfect in both thickness & quality, so you don't feel overly full, just satisfied.
My absolute favorites were the salmon tartare, the lobster tartare & the maki de saison tri, incredibly fresh & full of flavor. We also started with a sashimi nouveau style topped with apple & a special sauce, which was a really nice & refreshing touch. Even the presentation of each dish was on point.
As for the price, it's very reasonable considering the quality & quantity you get. & just to clarify, the total you see on the bill was for one person, while we were actually two dining.
Overall, Tri Express is not just a restaurant, it's an experience. Definitely a place I'd come back to.
The sashimi was excellent & the tri-lobster, too. Good wine selection & recommendations. Hit that spot of quality, price, & cool. Staff was very professional.

Nous avons fait une réservation, lorsque nous sommes arrivés sur place, nous avons remarqué l'absence de chauffage de périmètre & la porte d'entrée qui ne cessait de faire ouvrir à une température de -20°c. Nous avons décidé d'annuler le souper & partir. Je ne peux pas commenter sur la nourriture & le restant du service! Je ne peux pas simplement parlé de cette situation, je dois noté tout pour que google accepte le commentaire!
Je vais peut-être redonner une chance en été, mais jamais l'hiver ou une température froide!
Nous avions une personne allergique aux sesames à cette table. La serveuse a tout fait pour me rassurer & vérifier tous les ingrédients de notre choix . Parfait service & très sympathique
I actually booked this place last minute for new year eve for myself.
This sushi place was recommended to me by a friend. The area is amazing. In a quiet residential area I didn't expect this food to be outstanding. Wow. I was quite literally blown away. The sushi is hands downs fresh. There is a big difference. I am a sushi lover & this had to be one of the best sushi places I have eaten & I moved from Toronto to Montreal. I would highly recommend eating here & I will most definitely go back. WOW I can't get over the dishes.
I actually forgot to take a picture of my last main sushi platter that's how excited I was once I received the plate cause I couldn't wait to get into it.

Parmi les meilleurs sushis créatifs de Montréal. Le goût est toujours au rendez-vous & la qualité des produits ne se compare pas aux autres sushis du quartier.
Je recommande peut-être moins de commander les journées de forte affluence (Saint-Valentin/) car le temps d'attente peut-être assez élevé & malheureusement (& c'est normal) l'exécution ne sera pas nécessairement à la hauteur.
Sympathique petit resto pour les occasions spéciales. Plusieurs services. Les plats sont très bien présentés & raffinés & le poisson est d'une très grande qualité
