Tiramisu hits a lot of the right notes with its outstanding pizza & cdmx design, but the food & service execution can be uneven. The ambiance is great, blending a mid-century italian aesthetic with sleek Mexico City design elements that create a very cool & visually stunning space.
The Mortadella pizza was excellent, featuring a well-blistered crust, & paired nicely with a solid wine selection. However, the pasta side of the menu missed the mark; our vodka sauce pasta arrived noticeably dry, & after a clunky back-&-forth between the kitchen & our server about whether to fix the dish or remove it from the tab, the second attempt still came out improperly cooked.
Would go back for the mortadella pizza & wine alone.
Je déconseille fortement le poulet, il est juste servi avec de la sauce tomate & des pommes sèches quasiment brûlées. Globalement la cuisine y est fade
Got a reservation a week in advance for 16 people, waited 15min to get seated upon arrival even though the restaurant was empty. Waited 1h to finally order our food. Our pizza was 50% crust & half of it was burnt. Our pasta bol was 28$ : it was tiny, contained 2 small pieces of meat, tomato sauce was sour just like the cheap ones at IGA. Atmosphere was nice but overall very underwhelming experience for the cost of 120$ for 2.
We tried out this new place yesterday, the ambiance was quite chill but the decor was really nice, perfect place for a date night. Our server was nice, refilling our glasses of water constantly during the evening which we liked; he made our drinks & they were really good. We tried the polpettes, fritto misto, & arancini tartare for appetizers. Polpettes were delicious, sauce was tangy & umami, fritto misto was fine but skippable, & arancini tartare was good, but i suppose that'beef tartare crispy rice' would be a better description name, because the rice was not similar to an arancini whatsoever; still good tho. Portions are a bit smaller, but it is expected for that type of restaurant. Our beef shishito pizza was really good, especially topped with their house chili oil/spread with sesame seeds. Cesar salad was fine, nothing of the ordinary. Overall, i'd come back here, but probably mainly more for their fusion pizzas, because the flavor options were interesting, & their pizza oven makes for the best type of fluffy, slightly charred pizza crust.
Nice evening dinner was delicious
The appetizers were med
Salad was over dressed
Pasta could have had more sauce
Pizzas were great!!
Good blending of Japanese & Italian
This is one of my favourite Italian restaurant & is surprising considering that it is a fusion restaurant with also Japanese cuisine. Pizza is one of the best I had in the city, dough, ingredients & portion, all at a really good price. Pasta also seemed like a safe choice, the Caesar salad had a great sauce & just slightly grilled enough to give it a tasty smoky flavour, meal finished with the tiramisu that you can't miss.
Overall a very nice experience, good food & service. The mushroom truffle pizza was exceptional & the beef carpaccio was delicious. Very interesting fusion of flavours which worked perfectly except in the caccio e pepe. Unfortunately the sauce felt clumpy & the miso didn't add to it. Highchair available for baby, but do note there is no children's menu.
I sat at the bar & the service from the bartender was excellent. I only stopped here for a late night snack & night cap. Like some other places in the area, the bar selection was fair. I could find something I wanted but the selection wasn't vast. I ordered the fried eggplant appetizer & it was super rubbery. That was really disappointing as far as fried eggplant goes. The sauce had good flavor but the texture really bummed me out. No complaints otherwise
Really aesthetic place for a special occasion or a formal occasion. Staff is hella friendly. Got the focaccia, pretty good, but not a must have. The cacio e Pepe (we customized it to be vegetarian) was fantastic. The noodles tasted really fresh & the sauce was fantastic. A bit light on the pepper though. The gelato was disappointing. Got the tiramisu flavour to avoid the whiskey in the actual tiramisu. I'm not sure if it would be considered gelato, it was not very creamy, & was even a bit icy (might be freezer burnt)
