I went tonight for dinner with a friend & really had an amazing night. Drinks were really amazing, as well as the pizza! If you're in town in Montreal, please come & try this restaurant. Our waiter was Alberto, he really went above & beyond to make sure we were satisfied & enjoyed our night :) I will definitely come back again.
I was really disappointed with my experience at this restaurant. I ordered the cacio e pepe expecting a rich, peppery pasta with depth of flavor, but what I received tasted more like plain buttered noodles with barely any seasoning. It was bland & lacked the sharp, cheesy kick that makes this dish enjoyable.
The drinks were just as underwhelming. They were poorly balanced & honestly unpleasant to finish. To make matters worse, the food arrived cold, which made the whole meal feel careless & rushed rather than thoughtfully prepared.
Overall, the combination of flavorless pasta, bad drinks, & cold food made this a frustrating & forgettable dining experience. I would not return or recommend it based on this visit.
We tried out this new place yesterday, the ambiance was quite chill but the decor was really nice, perfect place for a date night. Our server was nice, refilling our glasses of water constantly during the evening which we liked; he made our drinks & they were really good. We tried the polpettes, fritto misto, & arancini tartare for appetizers. Polpettes were delicious, sauce was tangy & umami, fritto misto was fine but skippable, & arancini tartare was good, but i suppose that'beef tartare crispy rice' would be a better description name, because the rice was not similar to an arancini whatsoever; still good tho. Portions are a bit smaller, but it is expected for that type of restaurant. Our beef shishito pizza was really good, especially topped with their house chili oil/spread with sesame seeds. Cesar salad was fine, nothing of the ordinary. Overall, i'd come back here, but probably mainly more for their fusion pizzas, because the flavor options were interesting, & their pizza oven makes for the best type of fluffy, slightly charred pizza crust.
Pros : -Nice ambiance created (lighting, mirrors & trees) with good music. -Reasonably priced for such place. -The classic tiramisu tastes good & is light, I encourage to try it. Cons : -The service was very slow: after arrival, we waited 30 mins to order food, then 30 mins to receive the appetizers, then 1h30 & 2 follow-ups to receive the pizza (while the other tables around us arrived after but got served before us). Because they forgot our order (they ignored us & didn't communicate about it), they offered us the tiramisu & a drink. -The TARTARE SUSHI ARANCINI appetizer & MAMMA MORTADELLA pizza were blend. They are original & bold, but lack of flavour. I wouldn't recommend the restaurant even if the service was decent. Extra notes: After over an hour of waiting for the pizza, & seeing clients that arrived after us being served, we asked a waiter to check for our order. He looked at us doubtful & said « I don't think you've been waiting for an hour, I'll check at what time you placed the order ». This person never came back. A few minutes later, our waiter came & lied that the making of pizza was taking more time than usual. We showed him tables around us eating their pizza, & he then acknowledged that there was a mistake during, asked us to wait 5 mores minutes. 15 minutes later, we finally received the pizza.
We ordered cocktails, the cacio e pepe pasta, & the boeuf & shishito pizza. All were absolutely delicious. The restaurant is beautiful & convenient location. We were though very disappointed with the service. It took 20+ minutes to get drinks, we were rarely checked up on & at one point our server disappeared completely & another started somewhat looking after our table. We were here for my girlfriend's birthday, & I saw some tiramisu's come out to tables with a sparkler, so I made a note to our server that we were celebrating a birthday also. Eventually a tiramisu came to our table without request, which was nice, but no sparkler. & then it was charged to our bill, even though we didn't actually order any dessert. No "happy birthday", no "thank you for coming", no "how was everything", nothing. Just given the bill after waiting 30 minutes at an empty table, & finally having to request it from yet another server, without a word spoken to us. We flew here from BC & I felt it was a disappointing way to celebrate my partner. Such a mix of emotions. The food was so good but we left sad.
Amazed by this place especially because of the great service I had ! I want to give a special thanks to our bartender Arthur despite it being a little busy he always made time to assist us with every demand we had. Great ambiance, great food just be careful the drinks will leave you wanting more...better prepare your wallet ! Highly recommend this place.
Joli place, service ok.
The place is gorgeous, fresh & young (awesome for Instagrams), the staff is super friendly, & food is delicious with beautiful presentation. The Happy Hour (5@7) has special prices which makes it even more interesting because you can taste not expensive wines & cocktails. Excellent place for romantic dinner or friends meeting for example. To complete my review, I should have tasted others items from the menu (drink & food), but I didn't have time.
