For trivia, the guy:
- handed prizes out to whoever he wanted without asking questions,
- selectively gave specific tables the chance to answer questions (preventing others from participating)
- tossed small trinkets (that we couldn't choose) to the other tables without saying a word to acknowledge them,
- set prizes aside for his friends
- kept some prizes for himself; some were never even on display
- he got lazy, drew out full boxes of prizes.
- Too invested in the game that he was barely present as a host. He also left the premises for part of the time (taking his coat off & sitting by the bar).
-> At that point, why bother hiring someone for trivia? Just ask the staff to do a raffle; it would have been more fair & less distracting/unfair.
-They should find a new host for their events altogether. I wouldn't go to any more events if they kept this host.
DJs: you have to wonder if they hire from the same family. Their DJs can't read a room if multiple tables just get up, & nobody who stayed dances, there's room for insight.
Food is pretty good. I wish they would bring back daily deals.
Really great place but as an establishment with so many kids there why isn't there a snack bar? Slush, popcorn, chocolate bars , candy or at least a vending machine? I mean the one bar/restaurant is ok but ya definitely need a snack ba

J'ai rarement eu un service aussi médiocre. Nous étions un groupe de huit. Malgré le fait qu'il n'avait pas beaucoup de clients qui mangeaient sur place, notre serveuse n'était jamais sur le plancher. Nous avons dû demander les menus, la chercher pour commander, la chercher pour commander d'autres boissons. Elle n'est jamais venue nous demander si c'était à notre goût. Rien. Tous les employés avaient l'air perdus. Nous avons dû aller commander au bar & même le barman avait l'air complètement perdu. J'ai reçu un gin tonic (gin +eau) pas de pétillant du tout. Je suis normalement compréhensive, mais je comprends les mauvaises reviews…
I had to wait 20 mins just to order, even tho there was no one else in line, the bartenders were making drinks for 20 mins straight without even bothering to serve their guests. I normally am not one to make complains as I also work in customer services, but honestly the rec room has the worst customer service I've ever seen. The employees are not welcoming , didn't bother serving me. I had to wait 30 mins for my food, which ended up being cold. That was on a visit on a dead day. Honestly this place deserves to be shut down. The games are not even good.
I've been at this location twice. First time was good service, quick & great waitress at the bar. Second time I went, service was terrible, the host'sit anywhere you want' but never notified our waitress. We had to ask someone else for our waitress just for the menu. The hostess look like she didn't care. The restaurant was barely busy. Finally got our waitress. Food took a while but it was good. The fact we had to ask around who is our waitress after 10+ minutes of waiting was ridiculous. For a spot that is less than 3 years old, you would expect better hosts. Food was good, atmosphere was good.
We went there for their new year event, & honnestly it was amazing! We had access to a small but nice dessert open bar. Also were given a beer & at midnight a glass of bubles.
We had an amazing time waiting for midnight while playing a bunch of different arcades (which were included in the ticket price)
Finally, what I'll probably remember the most, was the magician, seing incredible magic tricks right in front of you was mesmerising.
Overall a great experience!
Wow. Just bloody wow. NEVER AGAIN!!!!! Horrible. I can't believe that they let these people work there. Rude. Entitled. & finally, STUPID!!!!! We should have when we 1st dealt with the bartender. Didn't know their backside from their elbow. Then the server took 25mins to come take our orders & not happy to serve us. Rude. Just rude. Got our orders wrong too. Then when we returned the wrong orders & got the correct ones, it's like they were deliberately sabotaged. They were absolutely awful. No care in presentation or preparation.
The manager was absolutely no help!! No offer for discounts or a refund, let alone a goddamn apology!!!
I'm the only person who'll complain & let you know that this place should be nuked. Staff should all be fired. We didn't even stay to play games. The atmosphere was ruined by substandard staff. Whoever owns this'hole' should be embarrassed.

The Food + Bar was well cleaned & huge, the wings was so tasty. Didn't know this place was opened because I arrived when the mall was closed! Food took a minute to arrive but everything was fine.
I went to The Rec Room recently - the arcade itself was fun & the floor staff were friendly & helpful. The games worked well & the overall vibe was good.
Unfortunately, the bar service was really disappointing. It was slow, disorganized, & the bartenders didn't seem interested in helping customers. It took way too long to get a drink, & when I finally did, the service felt rushed & unprofessional.
It's a shame because the rest of the place has great potential. If they could improve the bar service, it would make a big difference in the overall experience.
Terrible bar service, 30 minutes for a drink, 20 to pay. Food is hit & miss, do NOT get the pasta or macaroni, wings were good. Rude staff. Games are pretty great!

Arcade itself is great, but the restaurant staff literally ran away to hide in the back to not serve our table.
We were a group of 6, hostess sat us down, gave us the menu & left. After 10 minutes of nobody coming to see us, we go see the hostess & ask if we could order, she says'okay wait' & takes her stuff & goes to the back, ASSUMINGLY getting a waiter to take our order. Time passes by & slowly all the floor staff gather all to the back & hide. Only the bar tender comes out from time to time as he had clients at his bar. At some point another floor staff comes out so we go see him & ask if we could order, he replies'let me try to find someone for you' then dissapears into the back again. Another 10 minute passes & we decide to go see the bartender to ask if we could order, he also replies'let me try to go find someone', then goes to the back where we can clearly see him try to convince someone to come serve our table, which nobody does. He then comes back & says'sorry nobody is available at the moment, i guess I can take your order'. From there we decide to leave as clearly nobody wanted to do their job. After we left & continued playing in the arcade, we saw 1 staff member poking their head out of their back area & comes out with the rest of the staff. Clearly everybody was hiding to not work, we could see them gathered behind the frosted window doing nothing.
At the time of our arrival there was 5 people at the bar & 1 table on the floor. The entire staff was on the floor just chatting, then all dissapeared to the back as soon as they saw a new table.
Terrible, I hope management finds a better, more competent team who isn't lazy & undeserving of their jobs.
On y était pour regarder un match du Canadien. Honnêtement, pas pire comme bar sportif! Belles installations, avec suffisamment d'ècrans pour observer le match peu importe l'angle. L'endroit est neuf, propre & confortable. Menu un peu cher si on compare avec la compétition, mais correct somme toute. Burger au poulet épicé très bon! Ailes de poulet solides. Bon service!
Sans être impressionné par quoique ce soit, j'ai eu une expérience sans reproche, & je suis très satisfait.
I had a good time with a large group including kids/teenagers on Friday night.
Positives:
- Food was surprisingly good. Tried the Cobb salad, fish tacos, nachos, desserts. Much better quality than Le Cage.
- Nice vibe. Great the kids could play games while enjoying a beer & free popcorn.
- Screens to watch the hockey game.
- Free parking.
Improvements:
- Service. Waiters understaffed so water barely refilled. A couple of orders took too long to fulfil, including missing appetizers, & cold food. Though they were gracious enough to refund the orders.
I found it bizarre there were a lot of bus boys/girls on the floor but the waiter had to be the one refilling water.
- No sound to the hockey game, even after the live band.
Overall positive experience, but I'd come back more often with friends if there were hockey/sports nights with the sound on. I think you're competing with le cage, Boston pizza & the likes especially on a week night. Your food is definitely better than the others.
