Review Summary

Overall impressions describe Terrasse Ciel Rose as a stylish rooftop venue with beautiful decor and a boho chic vibe, where daytime views, a good DJ, and an open dining space contribute to a pleasant atmosphere, while some guests note that finding the place and parking can be challenging and signage is lacking; the terrace can get hot on busy nights and lighting may be insufficient for longer evenings; the menu offers solid value in the starter options with tasty, fresh flavors, while the grilled dishes and tacos receive mixed opinions and some portions are small or overcooked; service is inconsistent, with times to order and to receive drinks or checks varying greatly, though several visits report friendly staff and attentive service; many reviewers praise the overall ambiance, the quality of food and drinks, and recommend visiting when possible, especially for groups of friends and celebrations.

I visited ciel rose on 25/07/25. It was my first time going. We had a reservation for 2 at 9:30 but unfortunately we arrived late because we had trouble finding parking & also finding the establishment. I'll say that it is not easy to find & also to get to the rooftop. Upon arriving we made our way to dining area inside where a young man in black with curly hair was. We asked for directions to rooftop. He asked us if we had a reservation & we said yes. He guided us to the rooftop & we were on our way. Upon arriving at the rooftop there was no one to greet us. We waited about 5 minutes not really knowing what to do. We asked a busboy that had braids if there's someone who could help us. He then told us to go see the manager by pointing to him. I was very taken aback as this was my first time here & I didn't feel comfortable going up to a manager & I couldn't even tell to who he was pointing to.. I told him so no one can help us? There's no one to greet us? He said I don't know what to tell you… he was very rude! He said that usually they greet us at the dining area for reservations & I told him that we told the guy we had a reservation & he just told us to go to the rooftop. Turns out the guy we saw in the beginning at the dining area was the manager. We told him we had a reservation but we are late & he went to check if there was tables available. He didn't really look or help to be honest. He said we could stay standing & wait for a table or go to Zuma which I didn't know what he was taking about. We decided to stand at the bar. I'll say that the drinks were very good & the music & atmosphere was great. The Dj did a great job! After about 45 minutes of standing & we saw a table available we asked a nice gentleman with a white polo that seemed like another manager if we could go to the empty table. He brought us to the table & cleaned it for us. He was very nice. Besides the rude encounter with the busboy & the first manager we would definitely go back!

This place is overhyped by social media when you look at pictures on Instagram the place looks massive, but in reality it's fairly small. They check you for metal at the entrance, II doesn't give you a good feeling getting in. The food was average at best the only thing positive was the prices were fairly cheap. Most of the glasses are plastic even the plates. When you see this place in the top 10 terraces in Montreal, don't believe it. It's not even close terrasse Belvu or William Gray, Rose orange or any good rooftop. We will not go back, it is not in a nice area as well. The service was good thanks to Nicola at the bar.
