View more
We were served by Eli & Charles, & I have to say their service was impeccable.
Eli wasn't even working anymore, he was enjoying dinner with a friend but he made sure to take extra care of our table that walked in (unknowingly) close to closing. They both made sure we were taken care of at all times, recommending us the best champagne I've had in awhile, & multiple dishes for our group of four. They made sure to give us the history of the place, which really sets the mood. They both really knew their shit!
I am quite the foodie, having tried atleast a hundred restaurants in montreal & the food was divine, SO delicious.
We enjoyed the Japanese bread, obsessed. we ordered a second immediately, it better be there the next time I go. We had the beef tataki, SOOOOO GOOD!!!! the kitchen had closed but we literally would've ordered another, it was that good. I was sad i couldn't have more. We also had the grilled octopus, very good, aswell as the kale Caesar salad, & I HATE kale, but this was so delicious we were also going to order another one of these. We ordered some other things too but these were the three really worth mentioning. You need them.
Thank you both for your hospitality & wonderful food, as well as your local wines, we're sure to be back.View more
Overall, Taza Flores is a must-visit for anyone looking to enjoy a fantastic meal in a charming setting. We were told that the new owner/executive chef has made some wonderful changes since coming onboard five months ago. The cocktails were on point (recommend the Gimlet!) & the wine suggested by the waiter was fantastic. We chose to have the following which were all delicious : beet salad, hamachi, mozzarella, tortellini, strip loin for two, finishing off with a decadent baked Alaska. Waitstaff was friendly & super attentive! This is a great date night, friends catch up or after work drinks & dinner place. Definitely a favourite going forward!View more
Went for a date on a cold winter Wednesday so the restaurant was about half full. We were seated quickly & service all night was extremely fast. There was about 1 staff member to every 2 tables so we got excellent & constant service (for water, drinks etc). We had ordered a variety of dishes of which I thought the best was Hangar Steak, Beef Tartare & the Hamachi. We also ordered the Broccoloni, Duck, Beet Salad & the Potato Mille Fille. Nothing was bad but I found the Potato the least flavorful & tasty. The dessert menu was pretty limited with the only options being a Tiramisu or a Citrus & Pistachio Yuzu. We shared the tart which was delicious. Overall had a great experience, nice ambience, friendly helpful staff & the food was very good. I don't really think it was worth the price if done frequently but once in a while is nice.View more
Went on a date Friday evening here. Service was fantastic. Waiter made recommendations. Haloumi salad, grilled rapini, salmon gravlax, eggplant & lamb meatballs, & the beef tartare were all excellent. Had been there about 8-9 years ago. Forgot how good this place is.View more
It was hot in the restaurant, but the servers were accommodating despite us not having a reservation. We shared two dishes, the halloumi mango salad & grilled octopus. The halloumi was a little over done & the salad a little soggy. The octopus arrived also overcooked & not hot. Considering the prices i'd have expected quality. It is a very cute spot, just think it's a bit overpriced for what you get.View more
