I had a very disappointing experience at this restaurant.
First, many of the dishes were extremely sweet, which made it difficult for me to eat, & some items did not taste fresh. The sashimi did not seem fresh, & the sushi rice had an unpleasant smell.
When we couldn't finish some food, the staff repeatedly pressured us to eat everything & mentioned their policy in a way that felt uncomfortable. No customer should feel forced or judged for not finishing food, especially when the quality is questionable.
At checkout, we left a tip, & the server commented that it was not enough, which I found very unprofessional. Tipping is voluntary, & it should never be commented on. Here is Canada, not US.
Overall, the service felt pushy & uncomfortable, & the food quality did not meet expectations. I would not recommend this place based on my experience. Even though the environment of the restaurant is pretty, the customer service is quite terrible.
Ce sont les pires sushis que j'ai mangé de ma vie. La qualité est médiocre. L'odeur de la place est immonde. Je ne recommande à aucune moment ce restaurant. Tout de ce qu'ils offrent comme nourriture est incroyablement déplaisant & mauvais. Les toilettes laissent à encourager les indigestions. Au moins le service est bon & rapide.
I made a reservation hours in advance for Valentine's Day for two people. When we arrived, we were told someone had taken our spot, which makes no sense if we had a reservation.
We waited a long time, & although it was busy, the service was very disorganized. Food was being brought randomly to different tables. One table had tons of dishes while others, including us, barely received anything for a while.
They gave us 15% off, but I still paid $102 for two people with tip. Paying $42.99 per person+ tax for this kind of service is disappointing. Not worth it, especially for a special occasion.
