I've been going for 9+ years & quality is consistently remarkable. Tina is an amazing owner & took care of us like family.
First time here. A great experience overall.
They have the usual sushi options similar to the other places plus a couple of their own creation sushi. The service is really great & the food quality is very good.
I had an always excellent dining experience at this sushi restaurant. Clark is very friendly, always ask what we need. The menu offered a thoughtful selection of traditional & specialty rolls, all prepared with fresh, high-quality ingredients. The ambiance is relaxed yet polished, making it suitable for both casual meals & more formal outings. This place is the witness on my 2yrs relationship with my bf. Overall, a strong choice for sushi lovers in Montreal!
If you love sushi, Takumi Sushi sets the standard in Montreal. The quality here is simply outstanding. The fish is incredibly fresh, the sushi is prepared with care & precision, the BBQ options are perfectly marinated & cooked, & even the fried dishes are top-notch - crisp, flavorful, & clearly made with high-quality ingredients.
You can truly taste the expertise & dedication in every bite. For me, Takumi Sushi is the best sushi restaurant in Montreal, no question about it.
Most all-you-can-eat sushi in Montreal is a trap of bad rice & questionable fish. I'd given up on it.
This place is an exception.
The quality was great for an all you can eat. The sashimi was bright, firm, & fresh. The rice was perfectly seasoned, letting the high-grade fish shine.
Best of all, the service was incredible-warm, attentive, & efficient. Orders arrived quickly & accurately. Even the gyoza & tempura were delicious.
Takumi Sushi proves AYCE doesn't have to mean bad quality. I'll be back eventually.
Came across this little gem & decided to give it a try with the family. We all loved it! Very fresh seafood, high quality rolls, great Chinese/grill menu, was thoroughly impressed. Not cheap by any means though at 40$ per person but you get what you pay for, quality. They used to have 4.8 rating but old management ruined their stellar rating. Now they back to their old ways & you can tell. Will be back for sure. Clark our server was a gem & offered a seamless experience.
Best all you can eat in downtown! Customer service is always top notch & food is always top quality
One of the best sushi places!
Very good quality sushi, great customer service ? Not too much rice & fresh !
We are a group of friends, that have been tyring to do AYCE at least once every two months.
We have tried several, & loved it. THis one, I saw on TikTok & decided ok, lets try it out. Compared to others, its mid at best. The food was not ... bad. But it wasnt anything spectacular. First issue, was no tablets. I thought it would be a nice throw back, but with that, comes, the wait. Which we were not used to. Cause with all the others we have been to, service was pretty quick cause once you submit, the order is in, & you dont have to wait for the server to come. Next issue, which I have not had, since the last time we used paper & pencil was the: Wait, did we order this? Where is what we ordered? & everything in between. WIth that, is cautiously ordering, wondering if by the end of the night you will end up with a plate of 50 sushii, since you did not get what you ordered, so you keep re-ordering. ex, the last order (cause it was last call) we submitted a sheet & actually checked what we ordered, & remembering what we still did not get. That being said. The last service was what 1/4 of what we ordered, & a couple of items we totally did NOT order.
As you can imagine we were frustrated.
Service was ok.
Quality of food. again mid. & very very salty & you can actually taste the rice vinegar in the rice, which was a first, for me (with the exception when i made it at home.).
I think this place has potential, if they slightly improved the quality of food less sodium & ease up on the rice vinegar, & finally get tablets! I mean, unless its saving money tactic, (we kept joking that they were hoping we would forget what we ordered). LOL.
I know it comes with high reviews, which is why we went, so it could have been an off night, however, the paper an pencil thing although quaint, was a throwback to one of the reasons I had stopped going, i need to know i will get what I ordered &, not sit in panic that it will all show up, when I am finally satisfied.
In case you are asking , we DID check with the waiteress on the items we were missing, & her answer (oh boy we were dying of laughter) was : It will probably come.
Again, no hate against this spot. but compared to several others in the city we have been too.... pure mid!
We visited this restaurant as a family during our trip to Montral, & it turned out to be one of the most memorable moments of our journey. From the moment we stepped in, the staff greeted us with such warmth & genuine hospitality that we immediately felt at home.
The variety & quality of the food were exceptional, each dish was beautifully prepared, fresh, & full of flavor. Even our youngest child, who is usually a picky eater, found several favorites & couldn't stop smiling.
What truly touched us was the thoughtful attention from the staff. They noticed we were a family & made sure everyone was comfortable, even offering small touches like helping us with the children's plates & explaining dishes in English with great patience.
In a world that often feels rushed, this place reminded us of the joy of slowing down & enjoying a meal together. We left with full hearts, full stomachs, & a shared feeling of happiness that we'll cherish for a long time.
Highly recommended, not just for the food, but for the warmth & kindness that make a meal unforgettable.
Been here a couple times in the past, but decided to tet again since the last time was several years ago. The food quality was better than all the other all-you-can-eat sushi restaurants I've tried in Montréal, & the service was the best I've had in recent memory. The staff really seems to care about their restaurant & the satisfaction of their customers. I'll be going back for sure!
My fourth time visiting. Always recieved good service, although this last experience was slower than usual. Food is decent but you can tell the quality isn't the same as a non all you can eat.
This is hands down the best sushi I've ever had! I've been to so many sushi places, but nothing compares to the incredible flavors & top-notch quality here. The service from Eric, Clark & the reste of the team is outstanding, & everything is beyond delicious. I can't recommend this restaurant enough-definitely a must-visit for all you can eat sushi lovers!
I come regularly to Takumi & I have tried almost every all you can eat in Mtl, but Takumi is & has always been the best 👌🏽. If you like good quality salmon (especially sashimi, salmon rose, nigiri) Takumi is the go to. All the rest is also good & never disappoints. 🍣🍤 Special thanks to the kind hearted & polite staff who really take their restaurant seriously (very rare nowadays). Both Eric & Clark always welcome me & my friends with a smile & care 🙏🏽
Excellent quality/price, constantly delicious, BYOB, not too loud, good seats. Always a safe choice with friends or family.
My favourite all you can eat spot in the city. Everyone is so friendly there, the food quality is amazing & in the summer they have a little terasse in the back! A lot of vegetarian options too!
I frequent Takumi regularly, & it never fails to impress. The atmosphere is incredibly friendly, making each visit feel warm & inviting. What truly sets this place apart is their dedication to accommodating diners with various dietary restrictions. They go above & beyond to ensure everyone has a memorable dining experience. Let's not forget the sushi-it's consistently high quality. Each piece is fresh & expertly prepared, showcasing a delightful blend of flavors. Some all you can eat places may skimp out on their sashimi, but not Takumi. This restaurant is a gem. The welcoming ambiance, accomodating service to the top-notch sushi, it's a place I always look forward to visiting
Really nice AYCE sushi restaurant! The sashimi quality is fresh, & I enjoyed the nigiris & makis. Some of the fried items & sides could be a little better, but not a deal-breaker. The bring your own wine option is also a great bonus. Will definitely come back again.
