We got the lunch special which includes 3 tacos, a soup or chips & guac & a drink. My wife got the pastor tacos & I got the tinga tacos. Both were delicious but pastors are the best. You can't get three different tacos unfortunately, but you can still share if your wife will let you. Easy on the Mexican salsa, it's pretty spicy, but fun. I got the hibiscus juice for a 2$ extra fee but it was worth it! Great vibes, friendly service.
The best Mexican restaurant in Montreal! We just discover this restaurant & the food & drinks were amazing! The people working there were super friendly! I will be going back many times!!!

Today I had my 1st bad experience here. So if it was bad how come am I still rating it so highly? I have been coming to Frida for a few years & the food never disappointed me. Today there was an issue with our order & it took 35 mins to somebody to note that there was something wrong. The manager immediately corrected, served us, & instead of offering the drinks or a coffee as a make up gesture, he offered us the full meal! A most appreciated gesture, specially in these hard days. THANK YOU!
Tacos Frida is a vibrant & welcoming gem that captures the essence of authentic Mexican cuisine. Having visited multiple times, this recent experience truly impressed me. I sampled the chicken nachos, steak quesadilla, & pescado tacos, & each dish was a standout. The chicken nachos were piled high with tender, flavorful chicken & rich, melted cheese. The steak quesadilla featured a perfectly crispy exterior, while the juicy steak inside was full of savory goodness. The pescado tacos were a delightful blend of spice & sweetness, offering a burst of flavor in every bite.
I also tried the drinks & shots, & the hibiscus margarita was a clear winner-it was refreshing, with just the right mix of tartness & sweetness. The cozy, inviting atmosphere & the always-friendly, attentive service add to the overall experience. With its reasonable prices & top-quality food, Tacos Frida is the ultimate destination for anyone craving exceptional Mexican fare. Highly recommend it!

The food was OK, drinks were unusual & tasty, & the interior was decorated in Mexican style, which I personally liked. However, there was nothing exceptional for this place, I would say - one-time visit.

The fish tacos dish was really really good. The cactus Tacos dish needed a bit more improvement. The hot sauces are good in the clean bottles,That a plus ! Staff are super friendly. Ambience with music is fun feeling like mexico home good food. Drinks are good. Definitely going back to try some more food there.
Tacos Frida is my go-to spot in the city for amazing tacos. A stroll down the canal to the restaurant makes for a perfect day, & the experience is always worth it. I never miss out on their Birria tacos & the great drinks they offer. Highly recommended for anyone craving delicious, authentic tacos.
I was tired & hungry,I wanted Mexican food so badly & my friend told me about this place + it had great reviews...so I walked an extra 30 mins in the heat. I did pass several other Mexican places, but I was set on this one. I walk in, tiny restaurant, simple looking, nothing much, a few spanish speaking customers (good sign). Man...the food was on another level. Wow wow wow. We ordered a variety if dishes, including drinks, every dish was unreal, the drinks were so refreshing. Big highlight was the cactus beef & the ice cold horchata drink Basically transported to another culture instantly through flavours. Glad I walked so long, glad I trusted my friend & the reviews. 9/10 experience (-1 for the interior design, which is cute, but nothing special...but who cares?)
Food & drinks are always so good ! They also accommodated a group of 10 for my partners birthday & even allowed us to bring our own cake. A good place any day of the week but also for special occasions :)

I went to this place with no expectations, the place is nicely decorated & colorful, small, & if you happen to be on the little room at the end & you have noisy table neighbors, they will ruin the experience for you.. The good things, the decorations & the staff, very friendly & attentive, but not really Mexicans, they have people from all over the place, although I'm not sure if the cook is Mexican. The food, I must accept they serve big amounts, but definitely lacks taste, we order Carne al pastor & Carnitas, the Carne al pastor was completely tasteless & missed marinating, it could pass if they would have called it something else, they did not add a lot of dressing (coriander & onion), & had to ask for it on the side, for the carnitas, they were presented on a burrito, same problem, lack of taste, big amount, but good enough to make two meals out of a burrito.. The drinks were OK, the friduchas were nice.. As a real Mexican, I really can't say this place serves Mexican food; may be inspired Mexican food, but they should be careful not to mislead people with the dishes.. however, if you want to spend a good time with a good amount of food, this is a good place
This place is special. The food is fresh & very affordable. The service is extra friendly. I will definitely be heading back here soon. I love the tacos & guacamole & the drinks!
