Small, cozy family-style restaurant that left a lasting impression on me many years ago (it was my birthday party). These days, I mostly opt for a quick takeaway & I am still impressed by the care & love they put in the food & service. The sushi is good & I dare say the best I've had in Brossard.

Sushi Yasu left much to be desired. The service lacked empathy & felt cold, making the whole experience unwelcoming, rushing our orders just making us feel like we gotta finish it asap. Food quality was average at best, nothing stood out or justified the hype.
The combo promised & didn't deliver the flavours & mix, just plain rice & veggiess someone who truly supports local businesses, it's disappointing to say I won't be returning. It simply doesn't earn more than 3 stars in my book.
The waitress was not happy because we arrived 8 minutes before our reservation, even though the table was available. The food was average, nothing to write home about. The combo served had a lot of vegetables (fried sweet potato, cucumber, avocado), some of the Makis were too big, hard to fit in the mouth, with almost no space to chew. The calamari was a bit rubbery, pale & greasy. Chicken Karaage was good. It wasn't a horrible experience but it's also not a place I'll return to or recommend to anyone.
I don't think there's a restaurant we've been to more often than this place in the last 6 months!
Much better quality than most places we've been in on the island of Montreal. It's very family-friendly & everything is tasty. You can indulge with some fatty belly tuna or wagyu without it feeling too fancy or pretentious.
The food is good, the ambiance in the restaurant is good as well. I even decided to invite my family here to try it. It will be my favorite spot if the waiter didn't ask for the tip. It is a subtled situation, if the customer tip it mean they like your service, if not it mean your service not outstanding to get tip, dont asking why. It not mandatory, i only tip when your service is truely outstanding, but the waiter didn't even come once to fill my water, & still ask for the tip… I will think again if i want to go to this restaurant

I had the pleasure of dining at Yasu Sushi in Brossard, & I must say, the food is absolutely top-notch! The quality of the sushi is unparalleled, with the fish being incredibly fresh & flavorful. Each piece is prepared with care, & you can taste the attention to detail in every bite. The variety of rolls is impressive, offering both classic options & unique creations that cater to all tastes. The service is friendly & attentive, making for an all-around fantastic dining experience. If you're a sushi lover or simply in the mood for high-quality Japanese food, Yasu Sushi is the place to go.
