This review is for takeaway. We have ordered twice at Sushi Ste-Catherine. Overall, the quality of the sushis is decent. We ordered here due to the competitive price-point, but you really do get what you pay for. The rolls were pretty sloppily-made on both occasions. The salmon quality is just ok, not as fresh as it can be in the taste, quality & appearance. We likely will not return even for the competitive price-point.
It seems they intentionally take the time & bring chip stuff first one by one & make you waiting for sushi & rolls. Very slow. The quality is below any expectations. Look at the photo - this is how much salmon you get. Also, the host is unfriendly even a bit rude despite of the smile. We left. The most disappointing sushi experience in Montreal.

the quality is very low, all the rolls are the same .. the way they present it to you makes it look different but in the end its always the same roll.
its very cold inside, all the customers are wearing their coat ..where's the manager ? the heating is off in this restaurant
Please go somewhere else for sushi. They roll way too much rice into the maki roles, the fish itself is not good quality, & overall not worth $50 per person. Service was even worse. At the end of the meal, I didn't feel the quality or service was deserving of a tip after several mix ups & mid food. But after I paid, the waitress with glasses called me out in front of the whole table'reminding' me tip wasn't included in the total & basically forced me to tip. Worse Montreal dining experience by far. Wish we'd walked out as soon as we sat down.
The staff there were amazing. When we decided to take sushi to go instead they were so accommodating. The order was prepared quickly & the sushi was tasty & excellent quality.
Very good food , good quality , sooooo bad service , the waiters do not smile ,
they look at us as they we are not welcome they keep the table durty after we order the ice cream
This is one of those places where you go to eat sushi & drink diet Cokes until the mercury & aspartame melt your mind & you go a little crazy. It's not the best quality, or consistent, but the staff are quick & reasonable & the food is plentiful.
This is the best of the scuffed sushi places. Smoke a bunch & don't take it too seriously.
Awesome all-you-can-eat buffet. The quality of the food is great & the staff is nice. I barely had to wait for my food to get ready each time I ordered, they are really quick! The only downside is the price, which is pretty high for a buffet, but it is absolutely worth it!
All you can eat sushi, decent quality, at a good price. I think the people complaining about not being able to pay with debit card are old reviews, because they have an ATM on site now.

The servers were nice & the food was so delicious! They have an extremely wide array of Japanese & Chinese dishes for only 27CAD (lunch) so I find this place to be extremely worth it, especially when they also provide free drinks, a quality that I can't find in any other Japanese buffets.
Food very fresh. Good quality. Quick service. Love the sushi & General Tao chicken. All very reasonable priced for the quality. We took the lunch hour "All you can eat"
