Pros: Location, atmosphere, details were all great. Fish was extremely fresh & perfect, crab roll was really quite amazing with the mango sauce. Also one of the food runners was seriously amazing, went through details of every dish he brought & included personal details to it.
Cons: our first dish was bought to the table, it was a tuna tataki, instead of the tuna tartare that we ordered. We weren't expecting that dish & asked this other food runner what it was, & she actually did not know.
via LibroHidden Fish is a Hidden Gem , the fish was the best & freshest I have seen in Montreal from all the Sushi Houses that are currently active. The proficiency of the Chefs & their respect of the tradition of Japanese cuisine is first rate. None of the foolishness of convoluted sauces of Park & the rest of the pretenders in this space.. simplicity is the basis to let the freshness & quality Of craftsmanship speak for them selves. Bravo & chapeau to this outstanding Restaurant. I will be back.

Although the food was very tasty, we had an extremely disappointing experience. It was my third time at this restaurant but unfortunately my last.
We were supposed to have our table for two hours, from 8h30 to 10h30 PM. At around 10h20, we were requested to leave because other people were waiting for a table. We said that we were going to finish our wine glasses & go to the bathroom then leave on time. 5 minutes later, we were once again asked to leave while one of us was waiting for the bathroom. We were spoken to very rudely. This is not the way i expect to be treated after the amount of money we spend. It was an extremely unpleasant experience & it ruined our evening. I will certainly never be returning to Hidden Fish, which is unfortunate because the food is great.
