Sunny's Dinette is a perfect blend of classic American diner vibes & Montreal's local charm. The ambiance is warm & inviting, with just the right mix of retro aesthetics & a cozy, modern feel. Whether you're here for brunch or just a coffee break, it's a spot that makes you want to linger.
Their drinks are excellent. The latte was smooth & well-made, showing they have the right equipment, & the hot chocolate was perfectly comforting-rich, creamy, & just what you need on a chilly day.
For food, we ordered the eggs Benedict & the classic plate, & both were fantastic. The eggs Benedict wasn't just delicious, it was beautifully presented, with a hollandaise that had the perfect balance of richness & tang. The classic plate was simple but well-executed, with fresh, high-quality ingredients. But the real standout? The potatoes. Both dishes came with golden, crispy, & flavorful potatoes that were simply amazing.
With high-quality ingredients, generous portions, & fair prices, Sunny's Dinette is a place I'll definitely be coming back to. Highly recommend!View more

My first time here, & I absolutely loved this place! The food was amazing, & the staff were so sweet & welcoming. Restaurant was full at around 11:30am so we got seated outside. There's no shade so it got pretty hot. My friends started with an iced coffee & it was very diluted & just tasted like milk. The waitress kindly returned it & made another one which was better. We ordered the bagel & the cauliflower dish. The bagel was good but nothing too special. The fried cauliflower dish with Brussels sprouts, halloumi & hummus was very tasty. Would recommend that dish to share. Overall good service but food was nothing special.View more

Wonderful experience eating here with kids on a busy Sunday morning The staff was so kind, really attentive & very patient with our toddler. There's even a changing table in the bathroom. I was definitely already at ease with their kindness but then the food was SO good. As a vegetarian, it's rare to be overwhelmed by options but there were too many things to choose from & that was wonderful. The two sharing plates for lunch, Brussel sprouts/cauliflower & the zucchini fritters were delicious & the sauces were very tasty & totally made the dishes. One of the best breakfast diners in montreal, good food, the best pancakes & great staff & service. Seatings really cozy & comfortable & they always have great music, a little on the pricy side but its soooooo worth. The open kitchen concept adds a layer of excitement as you witness the chefs craft each dish with precision. The menu offers a variety of options. My selections included the Gravlax Benedict, which, while tasty, fell into the realm of the average. The Bread Pudding, reminiscent of French toast, was a comforting sweet treat. However, the star of the show was undeniably the Fried Cauliflower - a dish that elevated my brunch experience to new heights. The cauliflower dish was perfectly spiced & accompanied by a medley of vegetables like Brussels sprouts along side some halloumi cheese. The hummus dressing added a layer of richness that made each bite memorable. Despite the gastronomic triumphs, Sunny Dinette does have its drawbacks. With no reservation system in place, the wait time stretched to 30-40 minutes during my visit. The relatively small size of the establishment also contributed to a slightly cramped feel. However, these inconveniences are easily overshadowed by the overall positive experience. In conclusion, Sunny Dinette earns a solid 4/5 for its ability to deliver a brunch that balances great flavors, friendly service, & a warm atmosphere. We had been here for brunch a few times & loved it, & decided to host a happy hour the night before our wedding. It was amazing & we were so happy with how everything turned out!
The team exceeded our expectations & prepared a beautiful grazing board & other snacks. Everything looked & tasted great, & the staff was so friendly & welcoming. Our guests were so impressed & we were told many times how much they loved the place! It was really exactly what we were looking for.

Walked in by absolute chance, looking for breakfast just before a business meeting in the area. My goodness, was I pleasantly surprised. Cute ambiance, warm & friendly service. My favorite place for breakfast, brunch & meetings. I go every time i get the chance even though it takes me 25 mins to get there by car i just love the ambiance & i feel like home.
