We had a great time at this Sugar Shack! We were a big group & they were very accommodating. The little tour of the maple room was really fun. I think it was Simon, was awesome! The in house entertainment was incredible! If you go in with the mindset this is food they would have eaten back in the day- & serve it in the traditional cabin/family style way- then you will be impressed !! We loved it. Definitely a great experience.View more
View more
I'm not sure where the negative reviews came from, it's my second time eating at this sugar shack & the food is excellent. There was a bit of a delay in getting served, but Vincent (I believe the owner/manager) saw to it that we were taken care of properly as soon as the delay was flagged. 10/10 would recommend & will go again!View more
Fantastic venue & wonderful staff. The food is not good, tasteless & poor quality. . Powdered potatoes ( & we would bet the eggs were as well). But the maple syrup was great. Very expensive for the quality you get.View more
View more
The restaurant was a WoW! All the food including soup, main courses & dessert were palatable.View more
I will start off by saying the location & ambiance is gorgeous! The perfect Cabane a sucre to obtain gorgeous photos & experience an authentic vibe. Unfortunately the process of getting to your reservation table is extremely unpleasant. We had to stand in line for tickets which took 15 minutes or so, then proceeded to have to stand in line again to give our tickets which took an additional 15 minutes. The staff helping us during this process were extremely rude & unpleasant, 2 guests of our reservation of 12 didn't arrive at the exact same time as us & they almost wouldn't seat us because they were a few minutes late. The establishment needs signage so guests know where to go, we were shooed off multiple times because we weren't in the right areas when trying to allow our children use the rest rooms. FYI don't bring a stroller, because you can't bring it inside, wish we were told when we got on the horse carriage before having to leave it outside in the rain. Luckily, our server was great, but the portion sizes were TINY for our group size, this needs to be adjusted, the bowls didn't even make it around the table before it was empty & we were needing to ask for more, which left other items getting cold. The food is ok, as previously posted, the potatoes are from a box. Otherwise everything else was good. We do wish a server came to our table & ask if we wanted to buy drinks because no one ever came. In all, this Cabane a sucre is extremely over priced, by ALOT. 60$ per adult for what we got is outrageous. 40$ would been more than enough. More seating outside would be appreciated also.View more
We went on Sat. March 9th, 2024 at 7pm. I had call to make a reservation on Jan 10th, but they couldn't find it on their list. If the room had been packed, we would've had to turn around... The crappy weather probably played in our favour, the place was half empty. **** BOOK YOUR RESERVATION BY EMAIL****... this way you'll have something to back yourself with if it's not on their paper. This should've been the red flag to make us leave right away. I know everything costs more these days... but when I pay over 200$ for a meal, I expect my food to at least be warm. When the menu says "coffee or tea" I also expect said beverages to be offered to me. We waited... & waited... but the lady was too busy clearing tables to notice us. AT THIS POINT, THE ROOM WAS PRETTY MUCH EMPTY aside from 2 or 3 tables. So it cannot be blamed on a room being packed with 500+ people to look after. We gave up & left. In respect to the ambiance, I believe the sound system is set for a room full of people... However, when the room is more than half empty, PLEASE lower the volume!!! My kids were complaining about the music being too loud. We couldn't hear each other, unless we yelled in each other's ears. I used a decibel meter app & the sound was pushing over 100db. We were 3 rows away from the stage. I can't imagine being closer. The musicians are good but the sound is way too loud when the room isn't packed. It wasn't our first time at the Sucrerie, we don't live far from it. But I don't think we will be back soon, nor will our guests who had made the 3hrs trip just to go there. The location is gorgeous... too bad the rest of the experience doesn't live up to it. Before someone says "a bad day can always happen"...in this case history is repeating itself. We have given it several tries. You don't walk in a cabane à sucre expecting fine dinning. But when you are asked to pay $60/person & tip ahead for a cabane à sucre style meal, you expect to get service & warm food.View more
Really cool Sugar Shack. Awesome atmosphere & entertainment. The place was packed & service a bit spotty but a really minor issue. Definitely going back next year.View more
Dommage.View more
This suger shack is worth visiting. The tour of the shack with a short explanatuon of how maple sirup is made is included in the price menu, the menu is diverse & tasty & all you can eat, but believe me you'll be so full that you'll be happy to try the meals a bit of each.View more
View more
Absolutely horrible service, weren't checked on once recieved one very small portion of each meal, 4 people 3 slices of ham & 2 sausages, when they brought out 4 of the mini pancakes the size of my palm I thought it was a joke. Not worth the almost 60$ per person. Eggs were flavorless all the food tastes like it came from a can, boulettes were obviously processed, the mashed potatoes were instant mash. Very unfortunate because the ambience, live music & grounds are beautiful. Very big letdown on the food. For what you're paying, it's not worth it.View more
View more
