We had been there in the past. We found to quality of the steak to be improved over years past. We like the cauliflower bite appetizers, the new york strip & fries were delicious. All steaks were cooked to the correct degree of doneness. Its really nice to be able to bring our own bottle of wine to the meal as well.Voir plus

Just poor - steak cut was no good - flank undercooked - ribeye undercooked - in going out was just the chef on shift. However many reviews line up with my experience. To be called a steak frites place & have one of the worst steaks I've ever had. Terrible. Now for a 37 dollar steak I do not expect much. But this truly under delivered

Overall, Steak & Frites was an okay experience. The food was satisfactory, nothing extraordinary, & the service was adequate, though not particularly friendly or attentive. We were not asked if our meal was okay. The ambiance was pleasant, but not particularly unique or memorable. Le'Steak Frites' était moins tendre que le'Filet Mignon' mais était plus goûteux, ce que j'ai aimé.
La salade César aurait pu être un peu moins crémeuse mais elle était quand même très bonne.

I love this restaurant & the atmosphere was pumping & it just had a great vibe & the food was so good. I started with a French onion soup & the broth was so rich & tasty. The soup was just delicious. Of course they had other things on the menu, but I went for the strip steak with fries & green beans. I did have the peppercorn sauce, which was just phenomenal & ended up having to order another pot of it to dip my fries into. The steak was cooked just right & was really really tasty despite eating so much. I did have a dessert which was good also. Great place for a bit of steak!!Voir plus
We went to Steak Frites St-Paul on a Monday after work. It was still early, so the restaurant was quiet & not too busy yet. Our server was very attentive throughout the meal, & the food arrived quickly. Everything was delicious. It would've been nice to have a bit more sauce served with the steak since it was so tasty. The filet mignon was slightly more rare than the medium-rare we requested, but it was still excellent. Overall, a very satisfying experience !Voir plus

Steak New York cut à la cuisson exacte demandée: tendre & savoureux, & très bonne sauce dijonnaise : aussi 10/10. & un service qu'on ne trouve malheureusement plus beaucoup: efficace, à l'écoute, professionnel & accueillant. & comme on peut apportez son vin: pas de déception quant à l'offre d'une liste des vins ne correspondant pas à ses goûts ni de crise cardiaque en voyant les prix. Excellent service. My partner is celiac they ensured would be ok for her to eat. We enjoyed so much we went back the next night since we were staying across in intercontinental. Only negative comment is that would prefer grilled steak as apposed to just fried.Voir plus
