It was really delicious. I had the table d'hôte with the zurek soup, & the debutante plate. While our Polish friends mentioned it's not things that necessarily go together, it allowed us to taste a lot of different things. Everything was great! We had both the crumble & crêpes for dessert. Again, nothing to complain about. Also, we shared the pickled herring for the table. Highly recommended as a chaser. Amazing service (only complaint is that it was a bit slow but it was Friday night & they seemed slammed). & the ambiance is really cool & chill.
If you want Polish food, this is the place to go! Delicious food, great service & atmosphere.
Finding a polish restaurant is always a treat & this one did not disappoint. Had a wonderful lunch. Cabbage rolls were terrific.
Atmosphere, food & service were excellent. The place was busy & they made room for us. Best Polish food I've had & I've eaten a lot of meals in Poland.
The comfort of Polish cuisine makes diners feel warm. Polish cuisine has the salty taste of pickles, the sour taste of fresh apples, the bitter taste of black tea & herbs, & the spicy duck of horseradish mustard. My sister & I chose the following dishes: - Beef Strogonow (main course) ~ $27 - Golabki (main course) ~ $22 - Peach Crumble Cobbler (dessert) ~ $6 - Apple Crumble Cobbler (dessert) ~ $6 - Birra Fanelli Beer ~ $11 Meat has always had a special place on the Polish table for generations. A unique dish is Golabki, stewed cabbage stuffed with pork & rice, served with tomato sauce, potatoes & salad. This dish is a combination of sour, sweet, salty & umami flavors. A simple yet delicious dish. Strogonow is strips of beef fillet in a red wine sauce with mushrooms, served with two potato pancakes & a beetroot salad. This is a dish that everyone should definitely try. The beef is marinated in wine, making it surprisingly tender & delicious. Croustade is a dessert with a choice of apple or peach, covered with the restaurant's homemade sweet cream. It's no surprise that apple pie is one of the most beloved pastries in Poland, with its delicious apple flavor. Since I don't drink beer & I'm not feeling very well, my sister was the only one drinking tonight. Luckily, she got to try their 50th anniversary Birra Fanelli, a light wheat beer with a lemon flavor. My sister described it as having a pleasant golden color, a very aromatic & slightly sour drink, & a very good digestive. Price does not include 15% VAT & 25% tip. Total bill was over $100 for 2 people, a great price if not a steal & I cannot recommend this restaurant enough.
The food quality was good. I really enjoyed it & it's definitely a matter of personal taste & experience. While I appreciated the generous portions & the unique flavors of Polish cuisine, it wasn't quite what I'm used to, so I probably would not return. The cocktails, unfortunately, didn't hit the mark for me. Also, finding parking was a bit of a hassle since it's located in the Old Port area.
Awesome authentic Polish food. The atmosphere was very cozy & the staff superb.
We noticed this restaurant on our first day of visiting Old Town & planned to visit it for lunch. My family is very familiar with Polish cuisine & every dish we ordered "tasted like childhood". It's pretty busy place so I would recommend to make reservation. Live piano music enhanced resturant's atmosphere.
The food was cooked good. Could have a bit more flavor, but that's what I'd expect from our Polish friends. Service was good & atmosphere was nice
Cozy. Time stands still here. Live piano music & friendly staff. It's good to have a reservation for dinner as there is a continuous line at the door. Food is the most authentic Polish cuisine I've had besides at home. A must while in Montréal!
Lovely ambience, big portions, restaurant was full with people waiting, the live upbeat piano added a lot of charm. Authentic & delicious Polish food, can confirm.
Good, homely Polish food in a warm & inviting venue. My only slight dissatisfaction was that, because it is so popular, it was quite noisy. I'd suggest booking, even on a Monday night, as it was full to overflowing.
Everything about this place was superb 👌 great pianist with nice musical taste set a great tone for the restaurant. The ambient light & pub esthetic is very nice. & the food is great. Polish or not you'll love this place. Will be coming back.
Amazing all around. Great atmosphere & service, fantastic live music choices on the piano & Good portions for the price. & last but certainly not least Great food! I would recommend anyone to come & try this place out, polish or not.
An amazing experience. A must do for us every time we are visiting Montréal. The menu is great & all of the food is amazing. It's everything it should be for Polish cuisine. Highly recommended.
In general the food was quite flavorless: Zurek too watery without egg & not sour at all. Bigos too sweet & without smoked sausage taste. Pierogi overcooked & also tasteless. As a lover of real traditional Polish kitchen, we were both disappointed. The Brazilian waiter was the only highlight of the evening. The Polish waitress was not at all friendly & almost rude.
Delicious, authentic Polish food in a cozy environment. Looking forward to returning.
