Stash Café se démarque par une cuisine polonaise authentique et réconfortante, servie dans un cadre chaleureux et intime du Vieux-Montréal, avec de généreuses portions de pierogi, kielbasa, barszcz, zurek et autres classiques, le tout accompagné d'un piano live et d'une solide carte de cocktails. Si les avis louent surtout le personnel accueillant, la déco cosy et l'ambiance réconfortante qui donnent l'impression d'un câlin, certains signalent un service parfois lent ou surchargé et des attentes longues, surtout lors des soirées très fréquentées, mais les plats sont décrits comme délicieux et rassasiants et le rapport qualité-prix est jugé raisonnable.
Cozy. Time stands still here. Live piano music & friendly staff. It's good to have a reservation for dinner as there is a continuous line at the door. Food is the most authentic Polish cuisine I've had besides at home. A must while in Montréal!
Lovely ambience, big portions, restaurant was full with people waiting, the live upbeat piano added a lot of charm. Authentic & delicious Polish food, can confirm.
This is the best restaurant I've been to in Montreal. I have gone twice now & will be coming back again. The food is authentic, good portions, & good prices. The atmosphere is also great especially with the live piano player. Service is on point, but honestly, I'm here for the culinary & atmospheric knockout, & this place delivers a TKO every time.
Food preparation is authentic & expertly prepared, just like my grandmother's. The service was attentive, personable, & professional. When in Montreal, a mandatory dining stop.

I teared up in here last night because I haven't had such authentic & delicious Polish food since I was a teenager. The servers are family & shared with us, the atmosphere was just perfect. It was full, the piano was playing, but we could still hear one another & even made friends at the next table. It was the perfect end to a wonderful day & I'll never forget this place!
Wow wow wow. As someone from Kraków who cooks a lot of polish meals at home, I can definitely say this restaurant is extremely authentic. We were blown away by the quality & spot on authenticity of it. We ordered the zupa ogórkowa (pickle soup), barszcz (beet soup), krokiety (mushroom croquettes), pierogi ruskie (potato pierogis) & the szarlotka (Apple crumble pie). While everything was delicious & traditionally presented, the pierogi & szarlotka were our favorites. The pierogis were plump with great potato quality & not heavy on dough. You can def tell they were handmade. Every bite the potatoes melted in your mouth & you can taste the butter & onions. So good! Now the szarlotka. We never order dessert but based on how authentic everything else was, I could not resist trying this traditional apple dessert. Let me tell you, not only did it not disappoint but very much exceeded our expectations. It was served perfectly chilled, & you can taste both the sweet & tartness of the apple. & the fresh cream on top was so insanely delicious. We practically licked the plate. & don't skip on the cocktails! We also had the szarlotka cocktail which was served with Zubrowka vodka (our fave), apple juice & a splash of lemon. Served with a little bit of cinnamon & sugar on the rim. Wow oh wow. Refreshing & complex, what an amazing cocktail. Will def be trying to recreate at home but if not, just another excuse to visit this restaurant. Definitely don't skip this spot. If you want to try authentic polish food, this is the place! Enjoy it with the live piano player who is there most week night. Na zdrowie!
Exceptional food. Different & authentic fare. Wonderful atmosphere. Very warm & welcoming. Staff were very professional & accommodating. Prices were amazing for the quality & quality of the dishes offered. My second visit here while staying in Old Montreal. & I know it will definitely not be my last. You will not be disappointed.
What a lovely restaurant with an amazing atmosphere. I love the live music & the decoration. They have amazing beers & tasty cocktails to choose. Their Polish food is very delicious. Not 100% authentic but still very delicious. I highly recommend!
