Magical experience here, lots of little dishes (came here after dinner so this was a snack), amazing food. Walked in for the vibes, stayed for the lovely live piano
If you're looking for authentic then this is the place. It was delicious & the quality can't be beat. If you like pierogis, then you must try as an appy. Love the live piano player too! Great atmosphere!
Incredible. Absolutely tasty & perfect texture. Snitzel & Stroganoff. Would recommend both.
Update: we both agree this was the best meal of our foodie trip to Montreal! #1
Polish menu with English subtitles. Lots of traditional polish dishes. Polish beer. Reservation is required otherwise talking a chance on seating. Was crowded when I ate there. On the expensive side. Located in Old Montreal. Small bar with seating.
Come (back) for the food & stay for the ambiance. The best authentic & traditional Polish food outside of Poland (& my mom's kitchen). Very reasonable prices with the option of a three-course pre-set menu. Generous portions. Lots of meat but plenty of vegetarian options.
The piano player is always playing when we are here.
Third time at Stash Café...crazy busy Thursday night on a chilly May evening in Old Montreal. Place was packed, pianist playing tunes, warm atmosphere...our waiter Marco made us feel as though we were guests in someone's home. The service was fast but not rushed, warm but not pressing, the food was so tasty that our four-top ordered seconds. I couldn't ask for a better evening out with plump perogis, juicy sausages with tangy sauerkraut...so glad we decided to walk home to burn off some of those delectable calories!
