The fixed menu was fantastic especially for the price (which was very fair relative to other places in old Montreal). I don't have much experience with Polish food, but I thought the soup complemented the mains quite well, especially because most of the main dishes are very hearty/comfort food oriented. For dessert, I was impressed by the sweet cream though the apple cobbler wasn't that remarkable.
The restaurant has a great location, a very cozy atmosphere, & quality live piano which is not too loud or overbearing. Service was good as well, & I would definitely come back.
Polish cuisine was decadent at Stash. & the crepes to finish the meal were perfect.
What a gem of a place. They speak English, French, & Polish. You can really feel like back home for a bit. Nothing is modified to suit other tastes. It's as genuine as your grandma's kitchen. I came to Montreal for a week & I ate there 3 times. I don't have any Polish places anywhere near my house, so...
Nice polish food, good service & very nice ambiance. Very reasonably priced for the quality.
Been coming to Stash Café for years & it never gets old, especially on a quiet Saturday afternoon when the lunch crowd thins out & you can actually hear the old Polish folk music they play softly in the background. Last weekend I had the bigos again, that slow-cooked hunter's stew, & it was exactly as hearty & comforting as I remembered it. The staff recognized me from previous visits & brought out a little extra bread without me even asking, which is the kind of small thing that keeps regulars coming back. If you have not been yet & you want a genuinely warm, no-fuss meal in the Old Port area, this is the place.
OMG THIS IS THE BEST PLACE YOU CAN DINNER AT! Polish cuisine is represented SO WELL!!! Just one love, 1000/10
Best Polish restaurant in Montreal. Very authentic, home made, & the service is excellent. Highly recommended.
Amazing amazing food & I am not saying that because I am Polish. Great atmosphere & great service! Highly recommend.
Polish menu with English subtitles. Lots of traditional polish dishes. Polish beer. Reservation is required otherwise talking a chance on seating. Was crowded when I ate there. On the expensive side. Located in Old Montreal. Small bar with seating.
