My father grew up in Warsaw & we've had lots of pierogies over the years, but these are the most delicious, tender, tasty flavourful pierogies I've ever had! I paid many compliments to the staff & was told that their grandmother was in the kitchen making the pierogies! Surprisingly my favourite pierogies were the ones with sautéed mushrooms inside, I tried three different kinds & they were all delicious. Highly recommended, I loved the crêpes as well.
Fantastic food, the staff was pleasant & helped us with our dietary restrictions (Gluten free). The beer was delicious.
What a great little find! The atmosphere was so cozy; live piano the entire time. The staff was friendly & efficient. But best of all, the food was fantastic! I really enjoyed their tasting platter as well as the beef stroganov. I also really loved their pierogi with beef! I absolutely loved my experience & will recommend to anyone who is looking to try Eastern European food!
Food preparation is authentic & expertly prepared, just like my grandmother's. The service was attentive, personable, & professional. When in Montreal, a mandatory dining stop.
We lucked out & we're able to get a table. They were very accommodating & the piano player at front was fun to talk to definitely added to the warm vibe. Food was delicious & worth it
I teared up in here last night because I haven't had such authentic & delicious Polish food since I was a teenager. The servers are family & shared with us, the atmosphere was just perfect. It was full, the piano was playing, but we could still hear one another & even made friends at the next table. It was the perfect end to a wonderful day & I'll never forget this place!
One of the few places left in Montréal you can still get a schnitzel the way it was meant to be.
Wow wow wow. As someone from Kraków who cooks a lot of polish meals at home, I can definitely say this restaurant is extremely authentic. We were blown away by the quality & spot on authenticity of it. We ordered the zupa ogórkowa (pickle soup), barszcz (beet soup), krokiety (mushroom croquettes), pierogi ruskie (potato pierogis) & the szarlotka (Apple crumble pie). While everything was delicious & traditionally presented, the pierogi & szarlotka were our favorites. The pierogis were plump with great potato quality & not heavy on dough. You can def tell they were handmade. Every bite the potatoes melted in your mouth & you can taste the butter & onions. So good! Now the szarlotka. We never order dessert but based on how authentic everything else was, I could not resist trying this traditional apple dessert. Let me tell you, not only did it not disappoint but very much exceeded our expectations. It was served perfectly chilled, & you can taste both the sweet & tartness of the apple. & the fresh cream on top was so insanely delicious. We practically licked the plate. & don't skip on the cocktails! We also had the szarlotka cocktail which was served with Zubrowka vodka (our fave), apple juice & a splash of lemon. Served with a little bit of cinnamon & sugar on the rim. Wow oh wow. Refreshing & complex, what an amazing cocktail. Will def be trying to recreate at home but if not, just another excuse to visit this restaurant. Definitely don't skip this spot. If you want to try authentic polish food, this is the place! Enjoy it with the live piano player who is there most week night. Na zdrowie!
Food is fine. Staff is friendly. Have live piano music playing while you eat. Decent little restaurant downtown Montreal. Like it's pancake dessert.
Superbe adresse avec une ambiance & un service irréprochable. Les plats sont généreux & vraiment bon. Je recommande +++
Everything was perfect! Table d'hote was so good & so filling. Lots of polish people there so truly it must he good. Live piano music in the evenings just adds the cherry on top.
Walked in right before closing & they took us in. Everything we ordered was DELICIOUS. Get the herring dish called sledz you won't regret it. The live piano music, cozy decor, & wonderful service just made the entire dinner perfect. I'll recommend this restaurant to anyone visiting Montreal.
First & best Polish restaurant that I've been to! Service was excellent & the vibe was really unique ⭐️ Got complimentary Polish vodka. Would recommend to stop by for the beef perogies & barszcz.
