My bf & I came here twice for a date night. The first time was great! The service was very quick, & super chill. Our waitress took note of when we would finish our dishes & time it so the next one would come out right away. The sushi was quite good!! They had Ghibli music playing & it was a vibe 🩵 We loved it so much we decided to come back for our anniversary.
So, the next time our waitress (different person) was also simultaneously serving & working in the kitchen as a cook. Although a rather quiet night, she seemed really frazzled, tired, & the service wasn't AS nice as last time. She was nice though, I know she was trying her best! The sushi tasted just ok for the price. There wasn't Ghibli music this time & we were greeted kind of unenthusiastically by the cook.
I will say as a shrimp hater, their shrimp tempura is amazing. It melts in your mouth. It's crispy. It's REALLY good.
The ambience is great, just a bit tight & small so when uber eats comes they have to squeeze through chairs. Otherwise it's a sweet spot!

Food was ok but definitely not good enough for the price. Some all you can eat sushi places with the same rate has such high quality food, but not this one. Bathrooms were disgusting. Service was alright. But if you want good food, go somewhere else.
Not a top fancy sushi place, but that's what I want a lot of the time: a very good quality & quantity for the price sushi place. One I can enjoy the quality, be full by the end of it, & not break the bank, & Sozo fits the bill. Definitely split one of the larger plates/boats if you're with friends. Staff very receptive to any small changes incase of dietary restrictions
This restaurant just offer sushi roll, no sashimi! It is well known that for sushi to be delicious, in addition to the ingredients, rice is also very important. Every step from selecting rice to cooking vinegar rice cannot be sloppy. The vinegar rice made with smaller special sushi rice has better stickiness & a slight sweetness. But here did not do that! The price-performance ratio is not high. The meal price is basically paid for the white rice, & there are too few other ingredients.

We've finally found a local sushi spot in Montreal that is actually good. Once we tried SoZu we haven't been able to bring ourselves to go back to our old local & haven't felt the need to keep looking for better options. The quality & flavour here is just better for the price, we love it. The staff is also very nice & the returant is cute, but we always order for pick-up.
Delicious sushis with tasty ingredients. Price is good - we paid $60 for dinner of two & took almost half to takeout as it was too much for us two. Staff is very polite, place clean. Thank you!
I appreciate this place because their sushi is consistently fresh & reasonably priced. Moreover, the staff takes excellent care of their customers. On one occasion, there was an error in my order. I called to inform them, not expecting any special treatment. Two weeks later, I placed another order without mentioning the previous mistake. When I arrived to pick up my order, the manager surprised me with a thoughtful gesture. It's fantastic customer service, & I'm truly thankful.
