Review Summary

Reviews converge on a dessert-focused experience at Soufflé, with ultra-light, fluffy soufflés that melt as they're cut and a chocolate sauce that adds depth without heaviness. Toppings like fresh berries and pistachio provide bright tang and a nutty crunch while some comment that toppings aren't strictly necessary when the base quality shines. The texture is described as creamy and soft yet with enough structure to stay interesting, yielding a refined but indulgent vibe. Several tasters note the chocolate is high quality and a frequently recommended caramel and chocolate soufflé is particularly satisfying; others mention that portions, especially the smaller sizes, can be crowd-friendly and filling. Service experiences vary from attentive, friendly, and fast to slower moments where staff chat among themselves and attention is needed, though many commenters praise warmth and helpful recommendations. Pricing and value are touched on, with some remarking that larger sizes may be taxed differently and could affect choice. Overall, the place emerges as a strong dessert destination with standout soufflés and a generally positive reception, and some reviewers call it a new favorite for dessert.

Uncle Tetsu has had a monopoly on Japanese Cheesecakes in downtown Montreal for some time. Nice to see a challenger step up to the plate. The toppings don't seem too necessary, quality of the product stands up well on it's own. In comparison to Uncle Tetsu, these cheesecakes are ever so slightly more dense & rich, but it's a marginal difference. Service was great.

We bought a hole cake with 2 kind of toppings. One is caramel with pistatio & another one is chocolate with coconuts & berries. Both of toppings are good. I have tried this style of cheese cake of uncle Tetsu. I liked here more than there. It's good option what we can add some topings here.
We finished a hole cake by 2 people though it was for 3-4 people.

It's really tasty with satisfying texture (like, creamy but without being sticky).
However, I wish they would do like Uncle Tetsu & other bakeries by taking the tax exemption for regular/large size cakes.

EDIT: I wish that they would tell their customers (on the menu) that the larger size is un-taxed; of course I would order more if that was clear.
