Sota BBQ Coréen is hailed by many as one of Montreal's best all you can eat KBBQ, delivering tasty beef and other meats, solid sushi options, and a dessert line including ice cream that earned frequent praise, with some visits featuring fast service and a lively, well ventilated dining room. Experiences vary widely, though, with reports of long waits during busy times, last call rushes that force large upfront orders, incomplete or delayed dishes, and occasional billing issues such as added gratuities or hidden surcharges. Language and service consistency also come up, from attentive, friendly staff to comments about uneven attention, limited French or English, and inconsistent timing between courses and grills. Overall, it remains a popular spot for groups and celebrations, especially for fans of AYCE with a mix of Korean barbecue and sushi, but several reviews caution that the value and quality can depend on the visit, timing and how smoothly the service runs on that day.
Came in with a group of 10 people. We had no issues, besides them forgetting some orders. We just had to remind them. They even had the kindness to give my friend's pad thai in a take-out box with extra fries :)
Resto relax, rien d'extraordinaire.
They have sushi too!! I love this all you can eat restaurant, the meat was very delicious & the sushi was fresh & amazing! Even the ice cream was perfect 😍 Highly recommended
C'était ma soirée d'anniversaire, on a été servi par Jason & il était super agréable & aux petits soins. Je recommande à 100%, le service était impeccable.

Other than a few veggies (edamame, green Peppers, Onions, mushrooms, zuchinnis & Pineapple) & maybe 2 hosomakis (cucumber, cucumber/Avocado & tofu nigiri. There's not much options if you're a vegetarian for the price you're paying. It's a good place if you love meat & they have a great selection for that. If you're not difficult & you just want to enjoy a night out with friends & family being a vegetarian, that's what you should expect as a variety. Ps.. There's also kimchi, Miso soup, some type of fried patato hash, vegetable tempura & white rice. Unlimited soft drinks & desserts.
Considering the competition around, this place doesn't seem as attractive. But that is far from a bad thing. Every time I didn't want to wait an hour for one of the nearby restaurants, I just come here & we always get seated right away. The food is rock solid. Not the best bang for your buck place but it is good enough for me to not complain. Although, I don't understand why you only get 1 lettuce order before you have to pay for extra. The service is a bit weird though, sometimes things just doesn't show up, & the waiters are always in a rush. Other than that, this place is quite solid. Would definitely recommend.
