Our server, Anzhela, was absolutely incredible. Very attentive & patient with us, quick to refill our waters & very pleasant.
The live music was also amazing.

This place used to be packed all weekend long. Went at peak hours on a Saturday night & no line ups & half the space occupied inside. The dance floor was busy & all dark on it so can barely see the people around you. The place is way too dark. Good choice of music by the dj with a nice selection...
Had a great time upstairs. Cobra Kai(change your name) killed it. 3 piece band covering 5 piece tragically hip to way above expected? Props. When they started the opening riff to your love I half expected an off key or worse lower key by the singer. Dude Nailed that high pitch'Josie's on a vacation...'. Would go back just for the live music. Went downstairs for curiosities sake. Happy to see club life still alive & well. Server was nice. She probably screwed up & overcharged us but we came in 3 separate groups so I'll give her the benefit of the doubt. The live band won me over though if you're into that sort of thing.
Very good Guinness (served as it's meant to be). But that`s about it. Fries were actually the worst I ever eaten - chewy for some reason. (may be it was a glitch at the kitchen, idk). Staff is friendly & we were accommodated very well. There was a live music, which was probably good but the sound was way off (drums & bass guitar overwhelmed the voice; & electric guitar was if it wasn't plugged). Would probably retry one day, may be it will be better.
It was a less than good experience... The music was unbearable & annoying. & also i didn't like the waitress's treatment of us... Never laugh & talk condescendingly... I felt a little bit racist ... The Pizza with cheese was great & worth trying ... & the Gomalaya dish tasted nice. But it is not worth its price or even the quantity... In the end it is an experience that is not repeated.
Nice place, just one comment. The minimum tip in the card machine should be 15 & not 18 %. Tips in Montreal are crazy compared to Europe or other places. Winston Churchill's soul will be upset with the 18%. I'm sure he doesn't love the Montreal tip philosophy. In London I asked to add a tip in a pub, & the waitress said "is not necessary, is noon my friend". Anyway, I liked the pub, great music too! :)
The food was mediocre (chicken club) anyone could prepare at home. The waitress did multiple mistakes by bringing wrong food, not giving the right receipt. I used to go to Winston Churchill when I was student at Concordia & I had fun there especially during summer time but recently when my friends & I went, We were really disappointed with low quality food. The good points were beer & live music.
Kind of reminded me of the bar where Quincy used to drink. Like a subterranean lounge theme but with dance music or whatever. Staff were helpful. Happy hour in Montreal is a good jam. Food was plentiful & pleasant.
Service was a bit slow even though no one was there. A little pricey, however the drinks were strong & the music & atmosphere was great! Would recommend for drinks & some bar food!

Decided to spend new years in Montreal this year & we found this place randomly. This was a lovely experience! Cover was reasonable, the band was awesome & the service was excellent. Getting drinks was a little bit slow but this is expected on a busy night. However the server was working hard all night long. The drinks were good quality & really reasonable. We were only planning to stay until the countdown but the music & drinks made us stay much longer. Thinking back the food looked great too. We didn't order any but the stuff we saw coming out the kitchen looked delicious. Highly recommended for a fun night out.
First time there it was very nice arriving the lights are done the people are nice, music not too loud. But as it got busier the music got way too loud. You can't hear the person sitting next to you lol
Went to Sir Winston Churchhill Pub for the 1st time last night with my finacee & family members...absolutely amazing night, great drinks & music was amazing...huge huge thank you to Monica who served us our drinks last night...amazing service & extremely friendly...because of her we will be back for sure & hopefully she can be the one who serves us again 👍👍👍👌👌👌
