Reviews of Sir Winston Churchill Pub describe a timeless Montreal pub with warm dark wood, classic decor, and a welcoming, unpretentious vibe that stays charming rather than trendy. The atmosphere draws a mixed crowd of locals and visitors, making it easy to relax, chat, or watch a game while enjoying a well curated beer list that pours reliably, with options ranging from local to traditional favorites. Food is pub fare that is generally decent and tasty, though some feel it does not always match the price, while others praise solid snacks and standout dishes, suggesting variable value. Service is frequently praised for friendliness and attentiveness, though a few reviews note slower or uneven service during peak times. Live music, a terrace with street views, and a strong happy hour contribute to a vibe suitable for both socializing and quiet evenings, though some nights can be darker inside or more crowded; overall, it is viewed as a reliable spot for drinks and casual bites in a genuine pub atmosphere, with drinks and ambience receiving the most consistent praise despite mixed opinions on price and menu quality.
Happy Hour doesn't apply to alcool free beer. Very disappointing. Times are changing, time to adapt. You get 2 stars only because staff are very nice …but of course couldn't change the rules …. Ordered lots of food because big group we were, all had two beers, I had only one…. We agreed to all go somewhere else next time .

Belle ambiance, straight downtown location, niiiice!
Goddamn! Prochaine fois j'amène mon lunch j'pense!

Nice place, nice food, by far the best happy hour in Montreal 5-7pm $10 for two bottles of beer or 2 oz of booze, the staff were all nice too except the bearded bouncer who is always a real douchebag. I get it, his job is annoying but that doesn't mean being rude to anybody.
Had a great time upstairs. Cobra Kai(change your name) killed it. 3 piece band covering 5 piece tragically hip to way above expected? Props. When they started the opening riff to your love I half expected an off key or worse lower key by the singer. Dude Nailed that high pitch'Josie's on a vacation...'. Would go back just for the live music. Went downstairs for curiosities sake. Happy to see club life still alive & well. Server was nice. She probably screwed up & overcharged us but we came in 3 separate groups so I'll give her the benefit of the doubt. The live band won me over though if you're into that sort of thing.
I visited this pub hoping to catch a Premier League game, but that wasn't an option. The venue was nearly empty, resulting in a noticeably subdued atmosphere-even though the service was quite good. If you're seeking a lively game-watching experience, you might want to try somewhere else.
