Service exceptional. Food, meh, nothing special. The coconut shrimp app was overcooked. Duck dumplings didn't taste anything like duck. Too fried & looked like mystery meat. The mango salad was pretty good. Hostes was very friendly, Felix served our table- great service.

Great food. Mango salad was refreshing. The pad Thai was oily it's sweet than what I've had in Thailand. Could have had more tofu & less veggies. Definitely recommend for Thai food
I've been to Siam about four or five times now, & overall, I would say it's a solid, well-rounded restaurant. The space itself is elegant without being over the top. You can tell the restaurant is aiming for that more elevated dining experience, & in most ways, it succeeds.
Let's start with what keeps me coming back: the table d'hôte. It's kind of their signature offering, a generous spread of five to six starters, two mains, rice, & either tea or coffee to wrap up for 90$. It's a great format if you want to explore the menu in one sitting. You get variety, consistency, & good value for what you receive.
The appetizers are solid across the board. From crispy spring rolls & chicken satay to those coconut shrimp skewers & dumplings, everything comes out fresh, well plated, & balanced in flavour. The sauces are well thought out, sweet chili, peanut, nuoc cham, & the mango salad adds that much-needed crunch & acidity. It's not reinventing anything, but it's all well executed.
The real star, though & I don't say this lightly is the beef red curry! It's phenomenal. The beef is so tender it literally melts in your mouth, like butter on a hot skillet. The curry itself is rich, velvety, & full of depth. You get layers of flavour: creamy coconut, a punch of chili heat, those unmistakable notes of lemongrass & kaffir lime, all balanced in a way that hits the palate just right. I've had it every single time I've gone, & it's one of the few dishes I'd actually describe as addictive.
Now... the less exciting part. The table d'hôte hasn't changed in at least three years. Same starters, same mains, same everything. & while it's comforting to know what to expect, I do think the menu could benefit from a bit of seasonal rotation or at least one or two new additions. For a place that positions itself on the higher end, a little evolution would go a long way. When I go out for this kind of dining experience, part of the joy is in discovering new things... & right now, that's missing.
That's where the five-star rating drops a bit for me. It's not the quality, that's there. It's the lack of freshness in the offering over time.
The drink menu is solid but leans expensive. Cocktails are well made & beautifully presented, tropical, often layered with Thai flavours like basil, ginger, or mango, but again, it adds up quickly, especially if you're doing the full menu.
Service is generally great, professional & warm, & the pace is well managed. You can feel the intention of offering a more refined experience. That said, I did have one visit that really missed the mark. One of the mains came out bland, which was a shock given how flavourful the food usually is. The dish was genuinely disappointing, & unfortunately, the staff didn't acknowledge it or offer anything to make up for it, which, to be honest, was a bit of a letdown at this price point. But in fairness, it was a one-time thing out of several great meals.
Most recently, I brought my partner, who's from Asia & usually quite tough to impress when it comes to Southeast Asian cuisine. He was genuinely impressed, with the flavours, the attention to detail, & the plating. That reaction alone gave me some reassurance that despite the stagnant menu, the core quality is still there.
So yes, Siam is still a place I would recommend. The dishes are consistent, visually beautiful, & generally packed with flavour. It's just time for the menu to get the same kind of attention the plating & ambiance already do.
Dinner for two, busy Friday night. Sat upstairs above the bar. Nice decor. Bit of a party atmosphere (several birthdays), background 2000s pop music. Could be considered noisy for some people. Food was excellent & beautifully presented (satay, papaya salad, green curry & chicken fried rice). Duck wontons were nice, but a bit less flavourful. Service was attentive & timely. Would go back.
We recently went to Siam Centre-Ville for a celebratory dinner. I must say that the food was exceptional & the experience was pleasant, friendly & professional. We ordered cocktails, spring (salad) rolls, a stir-fry & green curry beef. The presentation & flavours were appealing. But the green curry was the star dish though. Incredible. It was aromatic & mildly spicy. The dish also came with some additional fresh chilis if you prefer your food to be more spicy. However, what I appreciated the most was the attention & care taken with allergens. There is a separate menu that explains the allergens in the menu items. Thus, I was able to order a gluten & dairy-free meal. I highly recommend & will definitely be back.
Not a fan at all. It took 45 minutes to get my mocktail. It was very noisy. The food I ordered was not that great (chicken satay salad). There was no dressing on the salad & the satay sauce was very little (if that was supposed to be the dressing?) the flavors of the bowl did not really meld together well. Wouldn't go there again. Service was not great.
Amazing resto !! Definitely recommend if you're a foodie! The atmosphere is stunning... walking up to a beautiful Buddha then painted stairway to the fun patio.. ! I thought I video's lol. Oopsie! Great service! Oliver thank you for your attentiveness, great recommendations on dishes & your treats to help celebrate my daughter's bday! We got the panang curry, braised beef curry & rainbow salad! All beautifully presented & super yummy! I did an oopsie again & didn't video like I thought! We will definitely go back!
The place is nice but i didn't feel thai vibe but the customer service was friendly. I ordered fried rice it was delicious, i was able to smell the heat from the Wok. Lard was ok, spicy chicken wings, papaya salad was not fresh. The best part was the drinks. The cocktails were delicious! Will come back for tapas night here.

Add this place to my favourite restaurant list in Montreal. It is located middle of town however the price was reasonable ( i was surprised when i saw the bill) & also not too hard to the parking. We stopped by there for a quick lunch ( literally we have one hour). The food was served quickly after letting our server know that we only got 1 hour. We ordered the duck confit wonton & coconut shrimp as appetizers, it wasn't too special (7/10). Shrimp pad thai & basil fried rice were main dishes. Those were amazing ( 10/10) . I can said it was the best pad thai & basil i ever had in canada. We did add up the seafood salad to our mean. But sorry it wasn't my taste. 9/10 for everything. Definitely will be back again. Thanks for our sever for the quick service & food recommendations. ( Sorry i don't remember your name ) & we hope to be seated in your next section again. Thanks for all.
What a lovely place to be at. Had been there sometime back , but couldn't find the time to leave a review, but I owe it to the hospitality offered at the place. Beer selections aren't great but what a lovely selection for wines & cocktails , service team is on point with their suggestions . Didn't eat a lot but the seafood salad(I believe, may be I got the name wrong) & the homemade jerky were but fantastic. They apparently have wine nights , definitely will be there again.
Celiac friendly menu & the waiter was very knowledgeable & was able to guide us through. We ordered the pad Thai (gluten free), the duck curry, the beef curry along with the papaya salad. Good portions & everything was delicious. I wish the beef curry was more complex in flavour but tasty either way.
I always get the rainbow 20 ingredients salad with chicken satay when I go to Siam, worth paying a little bit more to have a flavourful & healthy dish. The ambiance is very cozy & nice inside.

Quel beau repas au Siam! Tout était super: beau décor, bonne ambiance, serveur vraiment sympathique & efficace, & plats préparés avec soin & aux saveurs authentiques. La salade de mangue est délicieuse!
Food was great & so amazing. One of the best tasting Asian food I have tried in downtown Montreal. My favorites were the Duck wontons (yummy), Panang Curry beef, Red curry duck, Khao yam (Rainbow salad), Kai Yang (Thai Roasted chicken) & Satay chicken. The Kai Yang chicken was phenomenal. The curries were all great specially the Panang curry beef (very tender & soft). The Khao yam was the best salad I have ever tasted ever; savoury & a tasty variety of Asian flavours. The Kai Yang was so flavourful, so yummy. The drinks were also good. We had the taro & mango flavoured desserts. The only reason I did not give 5 stars is the service. The service was extra super super slow & indifferent. I could not get the waiter. I would have had to do acrobatics to get his attention. I would probably die of choking & still not get the water. I wanted to order but nobody seems to want to serve us & we had to wait so long to get someone & order something. Even paying was so long & tiresome. If only the service was good, I would have given 10 stars because food was amazing. The place also felt a bit crowded. When I made the reservation I specifically asked for a nice cozy, quiet & private area because it is for a birthday but we were in a crowded & noisy area. The bathroom was nice & clean at least & the seats were comfortable.
The food here was incredibly flavourful. I ordered the mango salad twice. The seafood yellow curry was out of this world in terms of flavour profile. A beautiful interplay of Spices & Coconut milk. I look forward to eating here more.
