First time visiting through the good reviews.
location = spacious & good ambiance
service = our waiter friendly & quick
drinks = my amaretto sour can be better, sour but not sweet enough
food = everything we ordered. delicious
what we ordered:
-Crudo; plate of raw salmon, avocado, ikura caviar with yuzu dressing
-mazemen, ramen without broth, protein we chose; pork Chashu
-japanese creamy carbonara udon noodles with shrimp tempura
-mangoe salad with grilled chicken (yummmyyy!)
-Oh La La rice paper sushi rolls
salmon with shrimp tempura i believe.. definitely recommend!

Let me start off by saying our server Ben, was fantastic. He really made the experience by knowing the menu & being attentive.
The drinks here are delicious & worth the price.
The food on the other hand, left room for improvement. I got the miso ramen with chicken & my partner got Oyster Bao & Inari sushi. The chicken in my ramen was cooked & seasoned perfectly, but the rest of the ramen dish could have used more flavour. My partner said her Bao bun was a bit dry & the oyster mushroom was a bit over powering in flavor.
Will we come back, maybe, but if we did it would probably only be for a drink & the wonderful service of Ben.View more

D'abord le resto est vraiment beau.
Côté expérience:
Nous avons commandé des cocktails. Ça a pris une bonne trentaine de minutes avant de les recevoir…. Tellement que les entrées ont commencé à arriver avant que nous les recevions. Première déception.
Les bao au porc étaient bon.
Les pétoncles étaient corrects. Pas certaine que l'assiette valait le 30$ (pour 6 pétoncles).
Ensuite le serveur est arrivé avec une autre assiette de sushis mais sans avoir au préalable débarrassé la table. Il s'est donc suivi une partie de tetris pour tenter d'enlever les assiettes & les verres sales & de mettre la nouvelle.
Le sushi était correct. Je n'ai pas compris le morceau de persil dessus.
Pour les deux plats de nouilles nous avons partagé les nouilles udon au fromage. Très bonnes mais aussi très riches. J'étais contente d'en avoir seulement le quart à manger car ça aurait été trop.
& le plat de nouilles au boeuf était intéressant.
La carte des vins aurait grandement besoin d'amour. Clairement ils se concentrent sur le sake mais dans un cas comme de l'autre ce sont tous des produits disponibles à la SAQ (dans le sens pas d'importation privée)

On a adoré ! Nous y sommes allés un peu tard mais le service était rapide & on a eu le droit à un accueil chaleureux ! On a pris le canard laqué U don & les sushis & vraiment EXCELLENT! C'était succulent ! J'y retournerai certainement ! Il y a bien évidemment un certain prix à donner mais ce n'est pas non plus abusé.View more

Tout le staff est super sympathique, ils donnent leur recommandation, remplisse votre verre d'eau rapidement & souvent & sont très attentifs à vos besoins.

I think this restaurant is slightly overhyped on social media. We ordered the ramen & miso tsukemen (dipping noodles) & we found it really salty. The sushi & crudo was also underwhelming & didn't have much flavour.
The restaurant decor & atmosphere were cool, but the food wasn't memorable.View more

I ordered the TSUKEMEN AU MISO RICHE with the understanding that I would get to have a hot soup to drink. Instead, I was presented with a deconstructed ramen where I had to dip the noodles & steak into the broth. The broth was wayyy too salty to drink on its own, which I found to be disappointing. I would have loved to have been able to drink the soup on a cold winter evening. Apart from that, the service, sushi & drinks were divine. When we came in the hostess pushed us away didn't even say hi genuinely was rude. Our table wasn't ready. One 30$ sushi plate didn't even have all the ingredients they forgot to put the spicy mayo. The waiter didn't even come to see us after taking our order, didn't ask if everything was okay, service was trash. The carbonara pasta was very good tho that was the only thing pleasantView more

J'y ai été avec mon conjoint dernièrement, nous sommes arrivé à l'ouverture, bon service à ce moment, serveuse courtoise & souriante. Par la suite, lors du repas également le service ce passait bien les plats était très bon (Sushi, ramen & gyoza), le resto a commencé a se remplir & l'ambiance était bien. Une fois notre repas terminé par contre, on dirait que nous sommes tombé dans l'oubli. Personne ne venait nous voir si vous voulions une autre consommation, un dessert, ni même l'addition. Il était difficile d'établir un contact visuel avec les autres serveur sur place occupé avec d'autre clients. Nous avons du aller voir notre serveuse directement pour lui dire que nous aimerions avoir l'addition. Elle s'est tout de même excuser poliment de nous avoir fait attendre. Sommes tout l'endroit est bien & la nourriture très bonne, mais j'ai enlever une petite étoile vu qu'il y a quand même eu quasiment 30 minutes entre le moment ou on a desservi notre table & que nous sommes aller chercher l'addition.View more

I have tried their ramen many times & I frequently order the duck breast. A favourite! I recently tried the a avocado sushi as an appetizer which is like a melting in your mouth treat to start with. The fried checking is super tender inside & crispy but not fat...didn't really want to share that one! Next time I want to try the hot pot. It's a neighborhood place I truly love to revisit. My only concern is the loud music but it seems to be the thing in all resto these days. It's unfortunate as I feel it competes with my senses. Service is friendly!View more

The staff is better now than previous reviews stated, but the noodles didn't cut it to me as much. The ramen noodles aren't the traditional type, while the udon was over cooked. Their sauce is well made & thought out, so they are well above what you can expect in Montreal. The sushi quality & decor was also great. I'm looking forward to their brunch soufflé pancakes, which aren't common in Mtl. Their ramen tonkatsu broth was well prepared, better than the mixed instant powder or more watered down msg options we have in mtl. The carbonara was also very hearty but not overbearing.View more

We decided to celebrate our 10th wedding anniversary here & it was a good decision. We loved the ambiance, service, & food. Everything was too good. We would recommend the salmon tartare, which is a must try. That was our favorite. Loved the udon carbonara with shrimp. It was heavy but very different with an amalgamation of japanese & italian flavors. The Sushi Roll Ooh la la was very different with a rice paper instead of Nori. Flavors were on point. We went for the oyester mushroom bao vegan option, which we felt lacked a bit of punch. The mushroom didn't feel like the star. Chicken Mezeman felt the suace was a little too sweet for our palette, but the charred flavor on chicken was mind-blowing. Our cocktail mai tai was pretty strong &, on point, loved it. Overall, it was amazing. We will definitely be back again.View more

Went on a thursday evening, it wasn't too crowded, I had a reservation but it wasn't full. Service was great & food was delicious. We had the spicy salmon sushi, pork bao & salmon tartare. Service was slow to start but got better. Waitress seemed very junior. I recommend asking the clientele if they want drinks to start while deciding what to eat. Food was hit or miss. Good vegan sushi but cut a bit too large. Ramen was just okay - wrong noodles used. Pork was tender but better to season the brine. Boa buns were good. Great cocktails but signature cocktails are really expensive ranging from $21 - $26.View more

I had never heard of this place, but it was among a list of places my son presented for my choice to dine & since I had never had Japanese food aside from sushi, this was my pick. Boy was I pleasantly surprised. We had Margaritas, Salmon Tataki, Bao with chicken, Karaage fried Chicken, Ramen Soup with Crab & more, all absolutely delicious! Great ambience. The service was a bit slow to start, but improved once the dishes began to roll out. The servers were friendly & very efficient. Definitely a return visit is in the cards.View more

It is very easy to check five stars on each of the categories listed above. The food was out of this world delicious. The service was professional, pleasantly friendly & informative. The atmosphere is quite spectacular with floor to ceiling windows all the way around the dining area. On top of all this, the cost for our group of five was quite reasonable. The black angel sushi was particularly good, a melt in your mouth kind of culinary experience ... But the many dishes we ordered were all excellent.View more

Our order was Crevette Carbonara Udon, Poulet Grille Mazemen, Karaage Chicken & one of their Vegan Sushi.
