The food, particularly the scallops curry, was exceptional - fresh, well-seasoned, & packed with umami. Excellent packaging & service too. Highly recommended for a top-notch dining experience at home.View more
excellent ramen bravo au chef, je met une moins bonne note pour le service car on nous a souvent demandé si on avait fini alors qu'on mangeait clairement c'est un peu pesant sinon les plats & les cocktails sont excellentsView more
It's not always easy to find vegan options at Asian or Asian fusion restaurants, but Shushuto fits the bill. There is a vegan option for pretty much every dish on the menu, all of which are clearly labelled. The truffle miso ramen was amazing! Very flavorful broth, tasty toppings, & generous serving of noodles. So was the pumpkin tempura, which is part of their autumn specials. They also offer beautifully crafted cocktails & a good selection of wines by the glass. Service is timely & friendly, & prices are reasonable. The ambiance & decor are top-notch. The bar area is especially beautiful. I'd highly recommend this place for a relaxed yet chic dinner between family, friends, or colleagues.View more
first time, it was really good.cocktail, food & service was perfect But second time when i came with my freinds, server was so bad, not freindly, never came to us if everything was ok.
Because of the bad attitude of the server, i feel bad to my freinds & never go back.Overall, it was my best ramen & same time it was terrible service.
Server who worked on 15 october, you should really learn the service.View more
The food was bland, we didn't find these typical flavours we were looking for. The bao buns were dry, the ramen not as tasty as we'd hoped during ramen fest. Service was slow - we waited 45 min for our bill as our waiter was talking. The drinks were delicious, the prices were fair, the deco is beautiful but honestly... Afterlife techno songs during dinner time Not going again & won't recommend.
Now that's my favorite ramen spot in Montréal, very tasty! Friendly staff I will definitely come back to try other items.
Highly recommended!View more
Ramen was on point, but everything else was terribly under seasoned. The salmon tartare & chips, very bland. Chicken yakitori was underseasoned, & the dipping sauce simply didn't make sense... lemongrass? In Japanese cuisine? No. Even the edamame was underseasoned. A sprinkle of togarashi just won't cut it... you need to add salt buddy. We wanted to order more but I think we tasted enough. The only saving grace was the pork in the ramen was on par.
The appetizers were amazing (vegetable tempura). the pork tonkotsu ramen was amazing however I had to keep removing at least 4 rope/cord/thread that i guess was from the pork, inside my mouth as i chewed unpleasantly. I could have asked for the food to be replaced at the first time i chewed it but didnt want to ruin my night out with my girls but i did give the comment to the waitress about it. The affogato baileys was good just prolly not for me as i found it too sweet for my taste. but hey, the hendrick's gin & tonic drink was refreshing! the service wasnt too bad too. & location wise, very nice. also, very cozy restaurant. =)View more
As a fan of ramen, this place is a gem. Great food, nice decor & friendly staff. Parking easy to find. I ordered a ramen & it is a delight. The broth has a lot of flavor, lot of shashui which is not usual for ramen. I am not a big fan of their noodle, not chewy enough for me.View more

10/10 will come back, food & drinks were excellent. best ramen in town
Second time for us at Shushuto & we love it! Food is delicious service is amazing the staff is really nice! & as techno lovers we really appreciate a place that can play deep house music while eating the best ramen!
Good food but nothing special! Liked that the ramen broth wasn’t too salty. Plenty of drinks to choose from.View more
Unfortunately, the aged beef ramen was horrible. The texture of the meat, the taste, etc.. the broth was also very bad.
The saké & Ikura mazemen was also very bad. The sauce was sour & the texture of the noodles were not good.
The yakitori was horrendous. Again texture of the meat was bad & even the taste.
The only thing enjoyable was the karaage.
After going to Japan, this is so far off authentic Japanese cuisine.
Unfortunately, will not return.
Excellent food, our Bao buns were very hard unfortunately which was unpleasant. Other than that, the food & service was excellent. Lobster ramen: best ramen ever!
Ramens are amazing, cool decor & friendly staff. If you want a nice modern Japanese experience, you're at the right place!
Fantastic restaurant. Nice selection of food on the menu. Appetizers were yummy. Ramen was delicious. Beautiful restaurant. Great service.
Bonus- very easy to find parking!
The food quality was extremely variable, particularly the ramen noodles. I even had to send my first dish back, it both tasted bad & had an unpleasant texture due to the poorly defrosted noodles, which went against all of my Canadian instincts. Thankfully the dish I subsequently ordered, off of a different section of the menu, was delicious. One server was truly awful. She was very slow & unresponsive. the rest of the staff were extremely kind & helpful .
The bass of the music was too loud, leaving me feeling tense like I was watching an action movie rather than having a nice relaxing dinner.
More of a beef juice soup than a ramen. Also the salmon noodles were not tataki as the managers picture showed & just thin slices. Will

Very good cocktails, lot of choices, good price but I had better ramens
