First of all, it was confusing to find as this'Thai' restaurant was within Shu Shu's which is actually a Japanese restaurant. When we asked why there are two google pages, they said there was a separate Thai location & they combined the two. Secondly, the food was simply poor. My GF ordered the yellow curry & it came out as a stir fry on a plate with a little curry sauce on top. I preferred the Khao Soi, & the sauce was so oily & brown. I've had authentic Khao Soi in Chiang Mai & this does even come close. Finally, are service & price. Servers did not check in on us once & the bill was over $70 for two had entrees. Would not recommend.
Our favourite restaurant in Montreal to eat thai soups & shushi.
They kindly customized the soup & added more veggies. The food is prettey cheap, always very fresh, the staff is kind, the place is super clean & nice design.
Highly recommend!
Definitely overrated for me. More of a quantity over quality kind of place & somewhat expensive too. The service is great though & the food is okay nonetheless... But it feels to me more like a fancy thai express than an actual authentic thai place. I want that garlic chives & fish sauce to slap me & they do not deliver on that side of things, their pad thai felt mostly like white sugar & acidity which I'm not even sure came fully from tamarind.
Clean & great environnement but the main dishes have no taste. Did not think it was possible for Thai food to be this bland.
Pedimos Uber eats que fois entregue super rápido e a comida chegou quente. Eu amei a sopa, super saborosa e incrível. O Pad Thaï achei bom mas nada demais, já o Pad See achei gostoso! Refeiçao com entrada e dois pratos principais que sao bem fartos 83,32.
Delightful thai food & sushi!
The service was friendly & efficient, the food was very tasty (really loved the khao soi & pad krapao) & the fish, very fresh.
Will be back for more!
Amazing thai restaurant, good service. Will return back. Tofu khao soi is so
This place has gone down in quality lately. I ordered the "pad kra pao" & was served something that barely resembled what this dish should be. It was under-seasoned cubes of braised beef with veggies served with overcooked rice & maybe 2 basil leaves. Pad kra pao is supposed to be spicy stir fried ground beef with basil. Anyone familiar with Thai food would know this isn't it. I asked the waiter if they made a mistake & was told that's "how they make it now". The fact that they closed their Thai location & merged with their sushi & poke location is just odd & confusing. There are way better Thai spots in Montreal.
!!MOST UNDERRATED RESTAURANT IN MTL!! Food here is so SO SO good, i was left dumbstruck. Flavours were excellent - BEST SUSHI ive ever had - & ive had a lot- might not be "authentic sushi" but heck its better than the OG. Go for the 3 chefs special sushi in my photos - & it'll blow your top off. The pad Thai was stellar - the green curry was so good the yellow curry was so different & unique. I had this on 31st night of 2024 - & it literally kick started my new year on the best note - with the yummiest food. This place wasn't as full when i dined in here & I'm literally surprised this place isn't packed upto the brim just cause of how good the food is. The service was so rapid & food was so freshly prepared. The prices are so reasonable this is literally fine-dine quality food with very large portions at very reasonable price. This place is definitely my confirmed visit every-time i come to MTL here on. Id drop a 6star if i could - & id rarely rate a place as a 5 star.
Ordered take out. Service was as you would expect when picking up food. Ordered the most ordered dish: curry massaman, which I will never order again. Very sweet. But what gives this resto a 2 star rating is the fact that I paid an extra $2 for added chicken & I literally got the amount of chicken of 1 small chicken thigh! At $23 tax in...I'd rather go to Thai express! (But the rice was great!)
The most authentic Thai cuisines I've ever tried in Montreal. Pad Thai, Massaman curry & Chicken Khaosoi are all must try!! Absolutely delicious. I'll be back for sure!!!
Perfect authentic Thai food outside Thailand. Highly recommend! Must-trys are Som-tum salad & Pad-kra-pao beef. Great service, refreshing drinks & beautiful ambience!
Very nice Thai spot! The food was delicious (I had the khao soi) & services excellent. Can only recommend :)
I used to love going to ShuShu Thai, but I was extremely disappointed with my recent visit since they moved to merge with the sushi bar. The papaya salad was tasty but the portion size was much smaller than it used to be. It used to come with a variety of vegetables, but now it only comes with papaya. The pad Thai tofu was also a letdown. It was not fresh & tasted like it had been sitting out for a while. The noodles were clumped together & the tofu was dry & not hot enough. To make matters worse, the service was subpar. The waitress did not refill our water & seemed disinterested in providing good customer service. Overall, I would not recommend ShuShu Thai to anyone who used to love it. It's just not worth it anymore.
Exceptionnel, à ne pas rater. Un vrai Thaï avec des saveurs & une finesse extra. & en plus un service au top.
