Review Summary

Shoji Sushi delivers an elevated, clean and relaxing dining experience with fresh, beautifully presented fish and a clear focus on quality over quantity; the nigiri and sashimi stand out for balance and pristine preparation, and the omakase options, including premium choices like wagyu, uni, foie gras and toro, showcase creativity and careful sourcing; the service is attentive and the atmosphere welcoming, making it a standout on the South Shore, and takeout and dine-in experiences are consistently well received, though some guests note seating comfort and price as considerations.

Excellent quality ... Negri variety one of best in montreal . Small resto space ... it's all about the quality of the fish going into the sushi ! Will be back .

Hard to believe that I paid 140$ for the tasting menu & ended up with so little food. My friend had the charashi bowl for a fraction of the price & definitely had a lot more to eat. The service was pretty spotty & our dishes were not explained to us, so I couldn't even tell you what I ate other than 6 tiny slices of marinated fish, 7 pairs of similarly sized sashimi slices & 6 pairs of nigiri. I will admit that this mystery food was top quality but after dropping 250$ dollars on dinner for 2, I would have hoped not to leave hungry. First & last visit for sure.

We have been here lots of times but unfortunately the quality has changed. The higher bar-type tables were not comfortable. Alsowe always take the degustation menu & this time it was disappointing. Not worth the price whatsoever.

It was our first time & it was very disappointing. At first, they forgot one roll & we had to go back & take it. But they compensated us for that little mistake, which was fine. Then the sushi rice was undercooked. Plus, there was no taste in the sushi at all. I couldnt taste the spicy mayo in the roll. Either they forgot to put it or they put a very very small quantity. The restaurant wasnt busy when I came in & I ordered by phone 45 minutes in advance. All you can eat sushi's quality was even better than that. It was very disappointing & for sure we are not going back.

Best price quality. This is my second best sushi place in the world... the first is in Norway called Alex sushi. Amazing price quality & food quality. I normally order takeout once every second week. Just went for lunch & realized it was so cheap for the level of quality you are getting....& mostly so delicious. I have been a client for 10 years now. I believe & the quality is very consistent & has always been there. Shoji, yours to dicover...plus it is a BYOW.
