Amazing staff, super kind & charismatic. Went with my wife & had an amazing meal. The food isn't cheap but I would say the prices were ostentatious. We are both avid sushi eater this was amazing quality like ive never had before, the fish had 0 fishy after taste ( which I am very sensitive to)
the one thing is the seating for half the restaurant, are these awkwardly tall chairs & tables that weren't comfortable especially since youre sititng there abit longer than an AYCE spot. Next time I would ask on my reservation for regular seating.
EDIT*** We went a second time & it was even better than the first, I got the regular seating & the evening was truly amazing, the food just as fresh & delectable as the first. Customer service by Jean was also amazing. Im notnone to like a la carte place but this is the exception for me. This will 100% become a regular for me
Shoji Sushi is easily one of the best sushi experiences on the South Shore.
From the moment you walk in, you can tell this is not your typical sushi spot. The atmosphere is clean, modern, & relaxed, & the service is attentive without ever feeling rushed or forced.
The quality of the fish is where they really stand out. Everything tasted incredibly fresh, well-balanced, & carefully prepared. You can tell they take pride in what they serve. The nigiri was especially impressive - simple, clean, & executed perfectly.
Presentation is also on point. Every plate looks refined & intentional, which adds to the overall experience.
Yes, it's on the higher-end side, but it's absolutely worth it if you're looking for quality over quantity & a more elevated sushi experience.
Definitely a place I'll keep coming back to & recommending.

Takeout review :
We had high expectations because this place was recommended by a colleague. We ordered a few rolls that caught our attention, ranging from expensive to basic makis. Unfortunately we were let down as they tasted predominantly like the fillers. Rice was not sushi grade, lacked texture & not well seasoned.
Very mediocre sushi for the price point, we will not return.
Ça fait plusieurs années que je reviens à ce restaurant. Après avoir essayé, plusieurs restaurants de sushi, Shoji est simplement le meilleur sur la rive-sud. Les sushis sont frais, goûteux & créatifs. Les serveurs sont attentionnés & accueillants.
Edit: went back to try their premium omakase & wow!! Did not disappoint! This selection includes Wagyu, uni, foie gras & toro. All so fresh & delicious! Definitely my new go-to for sushi/sashimi.
Sashimi was amazing!! So delicious & incredibly fresh. Also beautifully presented. The waiter was so kind & handled the whole floor by himself efficiently. Great experience, will definitely be back for my sashimi fix!
Je recommande ce restaurant car j'ai aimé le combo de sushi végétariens de 15 morceaux incluant l'entrée de patates douces & courges frites. L'ambiance, le service, la gentillesse des serveurs étaient parfaites. Vous devez goûter le thé japonais c'est vraiment bon. J'ai déjà hâte d'y retourner.
Hidden gem. Really great restaurant, I highly recommend getting the sushi sashimi menu & ordering a la carte. Also call ahead as they are often booked up on weekends.

Mon restaurant préféré de sushi à Montréal & ces abords. J'y suis allée plusieurs fois, pré-covid & à ce jour & c'était toujours une belle expérience.
Je recommande fortement (ça vaut la route si tu es de Montréal 😂).
Le poisson est toujours frais accompagné d'une belle présentation & un bon service.
Mes suggestions
- Truffle butter fish, poisson torché, super bon à partager
- le panier tempura de fruit de mer, excellent pour partagé en groupe >4
- j'adore prendre le ichiban pour un groupe, tu as un peu de tout, nigiri, sashimi & sushi
- le rouleau romeo & juliette: roulé avec des concombres, super frais avec la vinaigrette avec ponzu
- j'ai adoré le Omakase premium, le extra en vaut vraiment la peine
- bol de shashimi à partager.
- Nigiri Sake toro & fois gras, excellent!
The food was exquisite, they had a divine range of sushi, tempuras & all sorts! First of all, the service was exceptional, always attentive & friendly. The atmosphere was perfect, having an outdoor terrace with pleasant music to set the mood ☺? when it gets to the evening, fairly lights turn on & you receive beautiful ambient lamps. Now, the big one.. THE FOOD! I have never, in my 20 years of living in montreal, come across such beautifully balanced, presented food. 🍱 I would strongly recommend the Dragon eye, the tempura lovers & the Hokkaido.
They have beautiful cocktails 🍸 to enjoy with your meal. I would recommend this place a lot, for a date night, family dinners, or a catch up with an old friend! Thank you so much 😊, Enjoy!!! Xx 😌😋

Must be one of the best sushi restaurants in the Greater Montreal area. Food is perfect, service is perfect. The place is a little small but still very nice. Their lunch menu is super affordable & there are many delicious options. They also have a good selection of alcoholic drinks.
Bonne place à sushis à St-Lambert. On était 4 adultes, on s'est partagé un menu dégustation à 100$ (Omakase) + un combo K 40$ + une bouteille de vin blanc 45$ + une bière 10$ + 2 desserts 8$/chacun. Total avec taxes/pourboire = 268,41$. Bon service amical & prix raisonnables. Client satisfait. On reviendra!

Un resto sushi ou on nous sert pas juste les mêmes classiques. Nous avons commandés un menu pour 2 & chaque sushi était parfaitement apprêté, en plus des explications du serveur.
Je vous recommande ce resto.
We saw this place at the bottom a list of the best sushi in Montreal however once we got seated we knew it was going to be different the food was one of the best tasting sushi I've ever had, the service was pretty good, & the waiter was really cool.Overall I highly recommend this place & it's probably the best sushi outside of Montreal
it was awesome I have a omakase premium it was delicious the service was great the chefs were really nice the sushi were perfect one in a million place
