I order take out from Shoji in Greenfield park throught the online app. The experience is straightforward & easy. The price is on the expensive side, but you get what you pay for.
I never had the chance to dine in, but by the simple gestures & introduction of the omakase platter by naming each dish/fish was a plus to my experience while it was a simple take out.
I have ordered many times from them & even if it's not dine-in, the fish & food tastes fresh & good.
Edit: went back to try their premium omakase & wow!! Did not disappoint! This selection includes Wagyu, uni, foie gras & toro. All so fresh & delicious! Definitely my new go-to for sushi/sashimi.
Sashimi was amazing!! So delicious & incredibly fresh. Also beautifully presented. The waiter was so kind & handled the whole floor by himself efficiently. Great experience, will definitely be back for my sashimi fix!
Mon restaurant préféré de sushi à Montréal & ces abords. J'y suis allée plusieurs fois, pré-covid & à ce jour & c'était toujours une belle expérience.
Je recommande fortement (ça vaut la route si tu es de Montréal 😂).
Le poisson est toujours frais accompagné d'une belle présentation & un bon service.
Mes suggestions
- Truffle butter fish, poisson torché, super bon à partager
- le panier tempura de fruit de mer, excellent pour partagé en groupe >4
- j'adore prendre le ichiban pour un groupe, tu as un peu de tout, nigiri, sashimi & sushi
- le rouleau romeo & juliette: roulé avec des concombres, super frais avec la vinaigrette avec ponzu
- j'ai adoré le Omakase premium, le extra en vaut vraiment la peine
- bol de shashimi à partager.
- Nigiri Sake toro & fois gras, excellent!
The food was great, took the omakase. A little busy, not going to lie. Freshness of the fish is a good 8.5. Pretty high, i feel like its worth its money. The food is not traditionally japanese, what i mean is that; it has western inflience. For example some of the stuff was spicy (i love), but my gf would not be able to eat it. Though i have to say, i wouldve like the tempura the traditional way of doing it. (Flakey not the battered compact). But overall pretty good, would recommend.
Bonne place à sushis à St-Lambert. On était 4 adultes, on s'est partagé un menu dégustation à 100$ (Omakase) + un combo K 40$ + une bouteille de vin blanc 45$ + une bière 10$ + 2 desserts 8$/chacun. Total avec taxes/pourboire = 268,41$. Bon service amical & prix raisonnables. Client satisfait. On reviendra!

it was awesome I have a omakase premium it was delicious the service was great the chefs were really nice the sushi were perfect one in a million place
Amazing service (thank you Fatima!), cozy spot, & delicious food. The variety in the Omakase was splendid & so fresh. Wonderful chef & very accommodating to gluten intolerance.
Can't wait to come back in the summer when the terrace is open!
My fave sushi place! Everything is so fresh. They have different options that can fit your budget. The lunch special is affordable while the dinner omakase menu provides a wide range of sashimi or sushi with different cuts of fish. The online ordering website is always very easy to use.

Lors de ma récente visite à Shoji, restaurant japonais réputé de Saint-Lambert, j'ai eu la chance de redécouvrir les délices de la cuisine nippone. Cette soirée s'est révélée être une véritable ode à la fraîcheur des produits & au savoir-faire des chefs. Dès mon arrivée, j'ai été accueilli chaleureusement par le personnel attentionné. Le cadre élégant & intimiste du restaurant a immédiatement créé une atmosphère propice à la dégustation. Sur les conseils avisés du sommelier, j'ai opté pour une bière japonaise aux notes subtiles d'agrumes, un accord parfait pour commencer ce voyage gustatif. Le menu omakase, sans maki, s'est révélé être une succession de surprises. Le sashimi de kanpachi, d'une fraîcheur incomparable, était sublimé par une sauce sucrée délicatement parfumée. Le nigiri signature, avec son ventre de saumon torché & son foie gras, était une véritable explosion de saveurs en bouche, un mariage audacieux & parfaitement équilibré. Mais c'est sans doute la sélection de nigiri secrets qui m'a le plus impressionné. Chaque pièce était une véritable oeuvre d'art, réalisée avec des produits d'une qualité exceptionnelle. L'association de l'akami avec l'uni de Vancouver était une découverte gustative inoubliable, tout comme la fondant de l'o'toro & du chu toro. Pour clôturer ce repas d'exception, un plateau de sashimi d'une fraîcheur inégalée a achevé de me convaincre. Chaque bouchée était un véritable éloge à la mer. Shoji est bien plus qu'un simple restaurant japonais. C'est une adresse incontournable pour les amateurs de cuisine raffinée & authentique. Le service impeccable, le cadre élégant & surtout, la qualité exceptionnelle des produits font de ce lieu une référence dans le domaine de la gastronomie nippone. Points forts : Produits d'une fraîcheur exceptionnelle Cuisine raffinée & inventive Service impeccable & attentionné Cadre élégant & intimiste Excellent rapport qualité-prix En conclusion, Shoji est une adresse que je recommande vivement à tous les épicuriens en quête de nouvelles sensations gustatives. Best sushi on the south shore. They have innovative rolls & very fresh fish! My go to orders are the chirashi bowl & the eel maki roll. The chirashi has a generous amount of fish & is excellent value. The eel roll contains foie gras as well & has a nice balance of sweet & smokey along with the floralness of the chiso leaf. Also recommend trying their omakase! Amazing value for the amount of food you get! For a 140$ for 2 people, it came with a platter of sashimi, 4 nigiri, 16 maki rolls & a crudo dish. On the Friday we went, the omakase came with complimentary sake. The yuzu sake was incredible. The service was also great & will definitely be coming back!

We tried the deluxe omakase for Valentine's day, & were really impressed with the freshness of the ingredients. I especially liked the torched salmon nigiri with foie gras, melts in your mouth 👌 ! We waited a bit for the third service (sashimi), so apparently they moved up the specialty maki rolls, which were also delicious Finally, the sashimi bowl had a great selection of tasty fish. Would try again.
Great place for sushi! We ordered the omakase & deluxe bento & it was an amazing experience! Everything was beautifully presented & tasted great. Our server was also super friendly & did not rush us out after lunch hours. I would recommend to call to make reservations, & you can find parking behind the building in case it's full in front.
You guys are a star in the restaurant business. You over the years have only gotten better & better & I am always thrilled with the marvellous combination of flavours & the culinary voyage you bring us on throughout the meal. Cannot wait to be back & would so highly recommend for everyone to get one of the best omakase experience in the country
