The story of SHNOOPI begins with our family, steeped in the culinary heritage of the Mediterranean countries. We grew up in Egypt, travelling a lot around other countries with whom we share the crystal blue water filled Sea, such as Italy, Greece, Lebanon, France, etc. As long as we can remember, our cuisine has always been inspired by a lot of these countries’ flavors, mixing ingredients in untraditional ways, yet representing all cultures in a harmonious way. When creating SHNOOPI, we wanted to represent and honor that heritage, as well as share the food we grew up eating with our clients.
In fact, the name SHNOOPI stands for our family’s nickname. So don’t be surprised if you here us calling each other SHNOOPI in the kitchen!

I stopped by Shnoopi yesterday for lunch & had a great experience. The cashier was super friendly, & although I was doing takeout, the wait was only about 10 minutes. Totally worth it-the sandwiches are amazing! I had the tuna sandwich & it was incredibly good-super filling & packed with toppings. My partner tried the minced beef sandwich & also really enjoyed it. We'll definitely be coming back!
We walked back to our hotel & found this on the map, highly rated. This food is incredible. I got the minced beef sandwich while my spouse got the chicken tahini. We also got the pasta of the day which was penne, rose, & cheese. DELISH!! Everything was amazing! Customer service was GREAT!! We will definitely be back (this trip & next trips)!!

Was looking for a quick lunch to escape the cold & stumbled across this restaurant. The service was excellent! Everyone was so friendly. The soup of the day was zucchini, it was delicious! I had a chicken pesto sandwich & my partner had the roast beef. Both were so yummy! To top it off we had their rice pudding, so delicious! Will definitely come here again!
Easily one of the best sandwiches I've had in my entire life. If you're visiting old Montreal don't slip on this. Service is excellent & the food is reasonably priced. We got shnoopi (the shrimp sandwich) & the roast beef plus the rice pudding.
The roast beef pressed sandwich is the best sandwich over had in a long time! 1 hour so far in Montreal is proving to be fortuitous! Don't mind the almost completely eaten sandwich & empty glass of Sauvignon Blanc it was sooo good!!!
Great sandwich spot on the sweet, old, charming streets of Montreal! Service - 5/5 - The individuals working here were all so friendly & helpful, with a smile on their faces, & provided me with some recommendations. They speak both English & French & are not judgemental towards English! Food - 3.8/5 - I really enjoyed the Schnoopi which is a truffle & shrimp sandwich.. I do enjoy truffle but it's not something I love, so I gave this a bit of a lower rating. Someone else who enjoys the combo of the 2 would probably love it, as the sandwich is so fresh. It really is tasty, so if you think you'll like the flavours, you probably will love it. I'd be curios to order a different sandwich next time, like the beef - as I probably would love it. Ambiance - A nice diner style venue. I ordered takeout, so can't comment on what it's like dining there, but it definitely had a charm in a good area of the city!
Loved our experience here. The service was attentive but relaxed. We got the pesto sandwich & the roast beef sandwich, which were both great. The roast beef was interesting & flavorful, the pesto was fresh & vibrant. Would love to visit again

Visited during a recent trip to Old Montreal & found this through a YouTube review of Montreal. The restaurant offers freshly made sandwiches & salads alongside a few daily specials in a cafe-like environment. While they are known for their Shnoopi sandwich (consisting of shrimp, feta & truffle), their Sirloin sandwich is also a great option as well. The Sirloin sandwich comes with slow cooked beef sirloin strips marinated along with tomatoes, onions & olives. The sandwich came warm & freshly made once ordered, with the sirloin strips being quite tender & was a decent mix of flavours. Price for the sandwich was fair considering other offerings in the area which is popular among tourists (due to it being Old Montreal). Overall, this is a decent lunch spot in the Old Montreal area either as sit down or for takeout if looking for something simpler or more fast casual.
I had the Shnoopi & it was amazing. Large shrimp, fantastic herbed cream & an amazing bun. Terri had the roast beef sandwich recommended by the waitress's. It was excellent!
Ive had every sandwich at Shnoopi in the past 2 weeks (that I can have). With the exception of the chicken & the meatballs, everything else is Halal. The Shnoopi Sandwich is incredible & unique- To me, this is a must have sandwich that I'll be showing to all my out-of-town friends whenever they come visit. The Roastbeef sandwich is my 2nd favorite- What a balance! The egg at the lowest level is genius. For vegetarians, I had all their options as well, but The Caprese reigns supreme, so delicious. I've had the sous-vide, the ground beef & cheese, roasted veg, & goat cheese sandwich as well. I didn't really like the goat cheese sandwich because goat cheese is a bit too powerful for my palette, & I'm not a huge cheesy guy. If you absolutely love incredible amounts of cheese, then you might like it. I'd rather have the Caprese over the roasted veg, & though the ground beef is good, I think I'd rather have a smashburger because it hits within the same region of taste buds. The sous-vide would be another one that I put above the rest, but if I'm in the mood for some red meat then I'll probably find myself ordering the Roast Beef more often than the Sous-Vide. The workers at the establishment are awesome by the way. I haven't had the pasta of the day or the soup of the day yet, but my friends loved the pasta. Finally, their rice pudding dessert is also amazing. 5 Stars. Among the best in Montreal. I'm telling all my friends about it & putting them on, I really want Shnoopi to succeed & become a MTL staple- I respect the high levels of craftsmanship put into these sandwiches. Very well thought out, & you can tell that the IQ points are from a higher regions while you're biting into the sandwiches & tasting the combo. I've had them in person twice, & on UberEats twice. Hope to eat there continuously. (THEIR LOBSTER ROLLS WERE FIRE BUT THEY'RE OFF THE MENU NOW DUE TO SEASONAL CHANGE. ONE OF THE BEST LOBSTER ROLLS IN MTL!)
Did a search for best lunch near me & we truly lucked out. Absolutely delicious soup of the day which was cream of mushroom. They split into two for us. & we split the Egyptian Beef sandwich...so good. Thinly sliced beef with cheddar, lettuce, tomato, hard boiled egg & Dijon mustard on a grilled bread. Dessert a rice pudding with pistachio & cinnamon. Absolute perfection & the service was attentive & friendly. Portions were excellent. Good value & high quality!

This is my new go to place when I am in Old Port area. The sandwiches were so soft & delicious, especially the roast beef. The potato salad was to die for. I can't wait to go back & try more of their sandwiches.
