I had an amazing dining experience at Shay, largely due to Pamela's exceptional service. She was attentive, friendly, & genuinely cared about our experience, making sure every detail was perfect. The hype around this restaurant is real! I definitely think it's worth every penny. Not a cheap eat by all means, but absolutely worth the experience. I love the twist they put on Lebanese Classics, as well as their unique menu items. If I could recommend one thing, it is their baklava pancakes! I could not finish it if my life depended on it, but I am so glad I tried it. The staff was also attentive & present. I would definitely recommend this brunch spot to anyone looking for something new & unique!
What an incredible brunch we had here! Thank you so much for a really magnificent meal. The service was excellent, the music was perfect, the ambiance & decor were wonderful. We had the mouhamara as a starter (holy moly it was good!) & then chicken & waffles & the makenek hash for our mains. Blown away by the flavors! All of the staff were really quick to help, & very friendly. 10/10 recommend & we'll be back for sure!
I highly recommend getting the chicken waffles! One of the best that I've had in my life & the portion was bigger than some of the other dishes. I would give it a 5 if it wasn't for the club music playing loudly that made it hard to relax & talk.
La nourriture est incroyablement bonne & la quantité d'alcool dans les cocktails est parfaite. Nous avons passé une excellente soirée. Je recommande à 100%.

We drove from Ottawa to try this restaurant because someone recommended it on social media. It did not disappoint. The manager was so pleasant & amazing. All the staff were extremely nice & made us feel like we were the only ones there (even though it was packed). I definitely recommend making a reservation! The food speaks for itself (view photos). Everything was delicious! We went for brunch & now we can't wait to go back for dinner! Highly recommend.
Overall it is a great place but definitely overrated. I ordered a Shay chai & at first it tasted like a glass of milk. Definitely not worth $10. There was no shot of espresso, chai or caramel mouse as claimed on the menu but when I asked the server to add a bit more chai to it, they remade the drink for me without any issues or without me having to ask for a new drink. The food was delicious & not overly expensive for brunch. We had the Shawarma Benedict, soujouk omelette & the baklava pancakes. The shawarma benedict was amazing, highly recommend & the rest of the dishes were great too. We went on a Saturday at noon & the place is packed, a bit loud as it is anywhere for brunch. I enjoyed it but I've also been to other brunch places that have better coffee/drinks & delicious food!
We went here on Valentines day & Jose was an amazing bartender/waiter. He went over the top & gave exceptional service. Not to mention the food was fantastic!! A1 all around. Definitely recommend!

Toujours fantastique! La nourriture est extraordinairement remplie de saveurs & le menu est excellent même pour les végétariens. & le service & les recommandations sont toujours excellents. On y retourne encore & encore!
Went for my birthday & truly had the best time. We got the cocktail tree, humus & babaganoush & everything was 10/10! We had the absolute sweetest waitress (Pamela), so attentive & helpful. Staff was amazing, food & drinks were delicious & overall atmosphere was great. Strongly recommend!

Beautiful & elegant decor, delicious food & enjoyable ambiance! They probably have ONE OF THE BEST Fattouch salads I've ever had & some of the TASTIEST brussel sprouts (10/10 for both)! I highly recommend getting both these dishes! The "Octopus & Soudjouk Sausage" dish was okay (6/10), the octopus was a little overcooked & the charcoaled/grilled tentacles tasted bitter. The "Shish Taouk" plate was also quite good (8/10), the tomatoes were juicy & tasty, the toum was delicious, the potatoes were well baked but the chicken had also this little bitterness due to the grill but the overall seasoning was delicious! Will definitely come back :)

Très beau restaurant avec un menu délicieux! Les portions sont surprenamment assez généreuses. Belle ambiance & la serveuse a su nous recommander d'excellents plats pour notre première visite. Un peu dispendieux, donc à réserver pour les occasions spéciales. Je n'ai pas encore essayé le brunch, mais c'est sur ma liste.
The portions are on the smaller side & I would not recommend the avocado toast (there wasn't much avocado on the bread) but otherwise their breakfast/brunch dishes are unique & flavorful! The best thing on their menu is the Baklava Pancakes, don't leave without trying them!
Service impeccable! Notre serveur nous a bien expliqué le Menu, fait plusieurs recommandations. Tout était délicieux. La musique était parfaite aussi! J'ai adoré mon expérience & je recommande!
I was greeted by the Manager & felt very welcomed & appreciated. Our waitress Rachel went above & beyond to offer the best service. The food was out of this world. Every bite a happy one. We will definitely recommend & come back again & again. Thank you Shay!!!!
