Definitely the best laarb I've ever had, either in Laos or otherwise. The leftovers even got better in the fridge. & their homemade Sriracha was well spicy beyond bottled, without too much garlic.
Next time I'm getting one of their combos, either the takeaway pannier, or the tasting menu. BYOB.Voir plus
Cozy atmosphere, cute decor & decent favors but not too unique savours to the dishes. Certain dishes were too salty, some simple flavours meals not too authentic to Laos. Small portions for the price.
Service was the most disappointing. One host ( pardon my description but she was white) was very welcoming & accommodating to combine both parties of 4 into one table. The other waitress was really unhappy, unwelcoming & unwilling to provide us with advice on what is best to order, if you asked for any napkins no response but will go & get it, she wont introduced us to special dishes like curry or ask us if we want drinks. Had to get another the other waitress to complete the order. She was not friendly plus at the end we recognize in front of her one uncooked prawn in our curry. They didn't give us another dish nor apologize for their mistake. We paid $ 450 for our meal but quite unhappy with the service mist disappointing coming to visit from Toronto That would be unacceptable to the Toronto standards even Montreal. If only the service was better the experience would not have been such disappointment. Love trying different culture food & willing to pay for great restaurant but must say service was not to the standard.Voir plus
Nous sommes allés au Laôs en 2020 & avons retrouvé dans ce petit & très sympathique resto de Pointe-St-Charles les plats & les saveurs de ce pays fabuleux. Les bons restos & découvertes sont nombreuses ces dernières années sur la rue Centre & ce resto se distingue des autres par la variété de la carte & la possibilité d'y amener son vin. Les viandes sont de Charlevoix pour des plats typiquement asiatiques! Quel plaisir de manger dans la salle à manger fenestrée, cosy au décor apaisant. Les plats sont variés, avec les épices laotiennes, viandes mais aussi plat de tofu, châtaignes d'eau comme au Laos. Nous avons aimé & retournerons.Voir plus

The food tastes like my (Laotian) mom's cooking, so I was definitely satisfied with authentic Lao cuisine. We were lucky to be serviced by the person who seemed in charge of training the other waitresses, so the service was great.Voir plus

We went as a group of 6! We were suggested the tasting menu & it was amazing from start to finish. The meatballs & sauce were to die for, the crispy rice also really good, & the surprise dessert was top notch. As a Vietnamese person, this Lao restaurant made me question whether It is better than all Vietnamese restaurants in Montreal. Service was also very amicable & responsive! Def recommended!Voir plus
This is a cute little cozy restaurant right across from the Charlevoix Metro station. There is also free street parking. So it is a very convenient for people who drive & who take the Metro. All in all, the food was very tasty. The meatballs were my favorite. However, I found that a lot of sauces were fish sauce based. If it's something you're not used, you might want to ask for the dishes that do not have fish sauce. I did enjoy my experience at this Laos restaurant. The gummy bears at the end were perfect to clean the palette.Voir plus

via LibroSep Lai is a lovely addition to our neighborhood serving Laos dishes, similar to what we found in Thailand. Sep Lai serves many interesting & delicious dishes with everything freshly prepared to order. Their menu clearly indicates which dishes can be prepared gluten free & which can be made vegetarian. The service is friendly & efficient. We had Jacqui serve us with her usual lovely smile. Sep Lai has a lovely heated patio in the back of the building, with a retractable awning. Sep Lai is a bring your own wine restaurant & is conveniently located across the street from the Charlevoix metro station. I highly recommend this very affordable restaurant.

These options are clearly indicated on their menu. Sep Lai has a charming terrace in the back of the restaurant. In the event of inclement weather they have a collapsible roof that they extend over the tables. The restaurant is a bring-your-own wine & it is conveniently located across the street from the Charlevoix metro station.
