seafood(35) drink(29) oyster(28) recommend(26) old port(19) chef(17) vibe(17) terrasse(16) beautiful(16) roll(13) fresh(12) salad(12)This place has $1 Oysters 3-6pm EVERYDAY.... I was searching for 3 hours to find Oysters on a random sunny Monday, & Google blessed me with this find. I caught the tail end of buck-a-shuck. The East Coast Oysters were to die for, & the house made yuzu & jalapeno minionettes/accompaniments were awesome. It's in a beautiful, must be like 300ish year old building with exposed stone & time period accents. It is right on Rue Commune & Place Royal. The outside patio is spacious & has great views. Also, if you're lucky, the head chef may be the one who is shucking oysters at the bar right in front of you!
Seriously delicious food! The calamari was cooked perfectly… we ordered 2! The spices in the fish pasta dish were a perfect balance of buttery & spice! Not to mention the great service & atmosphere. This is a YES!
The oysters were amazing! So worth it 1$ each. The lobster roll was really good & the fries well seasoned. The steak was a bit overcooked but very tasty.
Délicieux. Huître délicieuse en juin. Guédille homard & beignet au caramel très bon! Ambiance sur terrasse agréable.
On beautiful day as it was when we visited, this terrace was cozy & relaxing. Felt like we were on vacation even if we weren't, which is always nice! Food was good, nothing fancy, with a nice selection of summer classics. Our waiter was professional & efficient. Overall great spot for a casual meal.
I came here for the 1$ oysters with a friend. The decor here is nice & the bathrooms are amazing. They played baywatch on the small tvs they had. The bar is adorable! we sat inside but there was a large patio outside which was popular. The service here is incredibly slow. We had to call over waitresses multiple times & wait a long time for everything including water. I assume most of the servers were focused on the people outside as there was only about one other group seated inside. The oysters here were good, the minionettes were good but my friend thought the horseradish was a little old. Overall the food & atmosphere were great but the service was lacking.
Very good service, good ambiance.
The barman named Basch came & talked & joked with us.
Every mistakes on drinks or food is on the house
I would go again & recommend
Their beer menu is limited & mostly features mainstream brands, which lack the character & flavor of local brews.
The outdoor seating has a high table with low bench seating, which makes it uncomfortable to eat & hard to see the person across from you.
Assia provided great service & great atmosphere for the evening. Very punctual service with a smile.
5 out of 5 for Seasalt! Between Chef Rob & the rest of the incredible staff treating everyone like royalty, this is a must visit restaurant. The food was absolutely delicious, the service was phenomenal, the location is stunning. Even the other guests were a pleasure. Not to mention even though we had a large group the staff didn't miss a beat. Seasalt is the main reason I will be coming back to Montreal!
This place was unreal!! Best atmosphere, food was incredible & Rob really made our group of 13 from Vancouver feel welcomed. His signature'slaw' was the best dish I've ever had. Can't recommend this place enough if you're looking for great service, great food & an electric atmosphere. Two huge thumbs up!
What an incredible experience. If you don't know chef Rob, introduce yourself, I promise you won't regret it. Food, staff & atmosphere are top notch. 16 of us were treated like kings. The music & servers were fun as can be. Will talk about this spot forever.
Assia was friendly & very knowledgeable about the menu! We'll be back thanks to her & the food!!
The terrace is beautiful. Excellent service & delicious food, Rob was great host, Ismail made some great cocktails, definetely recommend this place!
I got tricked in ordering the massive seafood tower but is was kinda my fault cuz I didn't ask for the price lol it was pretty good tho, no worth $300 tho
We came in for the 1$ Oyster special, & we were 4 clients wanting to order a dozen each plus drinks & appetizers.
They only serve us 12 at the time, where we had to wait an hour for the first dozen & then another 40 minutes for the second round of 12. We ended up cancelling the other rounds of oysters. On top of that, we did not get any cutlery or plates until our food got in, again after an hour wait.
Disaster!
Aight, Rob is a beaut & it's not even up for dispute.
We came for oysters & they had only 21. So waiters like we'll give you what we have but the remaining oysters are gonna be like 20 minutes to prep.
So lo & behold the owner runs out (literally) & GRABS the remaining oysters, shucks a bunch, shares tequila shots with the whole table. The food is amazing but man, the staff make the experience.
Ps. They sell merch (just gotta ask!)
6/5 stars if Google would let me.
