Great vibes. Great music/beats. Great food. Great coffee. Easy to get a table at 12 on a Tuesday. Comfy seating. Great for working if that's your style. Unique plates & drinks.
Very well decorated & inviting space. Food was pretty good (would recommend offering hot sauce with your Hangover sandwich 😊).
Half the space was filled with people on their laptops/studying & the other half was just people vibing & chatting. Nice music choice but found it excessively loud - esp with a hangover.
Didn't give a 5 because the chaotic energy was a bit off putting & didn't really resonate with the space. Paying full price for drinks & food but not being served water or really experiencing any level of service was a bit strange, otherwise hoping this place settles into the vibe they're going for !

Savsav is a hidden gem, IYKYK In my opinion one of the most beautiful coffee shops in Montréal. Such a cool vibe, very welcoming & good service. The food is delicious & their special drinks are tasty. Good spot for brunch or to work/study. Very bright with a lot of natural light. Un incontournable dans Saint-Henri!
The place itself is beautiful but the drinks are a bit too expensive & they're VERY generous on the ice (10$ for a strawberry matcha that was 3/4 ice & 1/4 matcha) But besides the price it's a nice place to hang out with friends.
The food (chicken salad on toast) & my drink (iced chai) were both great. Just a few'downsides': 1) the music is really loud. Personally, I focus well even with music so I'm fine but just to note, it's not the place for great conversation or taking meetings. 2) it's kinda hard to find! Maybe that's supposed to be part of the charm/exclusivity but just warning you, you might get lost finding it.
My first time trying matcha! I got the strawberry matcha drink & discovered that I don't really like the taste of matcha lol, but it was ok because the barista was super nice & added a bit more strawberry syrup to my drink, which helped mask the taste of the matcha, so after that adjustment the drink was pretty good!
Would be hard to see as there is no sign with name. Really nice interior high ceilings. Expensive for coffee & doughnut takeaway (13$) & I found the coffee very acidic so didn't drink most of it. There are no prices on the baked goods, & full coffee menu wasn't priced on the menu. Could be improvised.

Sav Sav was one of my favorite matcha spots in the city - until this past weekend.
I've always appreciated their creativity with drinks, but this weekend the vibe was completely ruined by one employee (moustache man… it's clearly not just me…see other reviews 👀).
He made two matchas - one with coconut milk for me (lactose-sensitive girlie over here), & one with regular milk for my friend, who hates coconut milk. Then he plopped them down, said he didn't know which was which, & walked away. Not exactly the kind of attitude you want when you're paying $10+ for a drink…
I messaged the owner, who acknowledged my message… but no apology, no offer to make it right, not even a'sorry you had a bad experience.' Just bad taste all around.
Sadly, won't be going back - there are too many other good spots in this city that get both matcha & customer service right.
Like many spots in Montréal, Sasav ends up relying heavily on its cachet & cool location. The food & drinks are still in the process of catching up to the atmosphere. That is not to say the food & drinks are bad. They are good, but not excellent. The prices are on the high end of what is expected for a Montréal but they are not unexpected.
this is one of the best cafés I've ever tried like literally all of their drinks all of their food, exceptional like I've never eaten sandwich that is that delicious like I'm not even joking. It was as if I was high & eating it, but I wasn't even high & it tasted that good. It's crazy. I was genuinely blown away.
I had been there for happy hour last year summer! It is a great place to have drinks & brunch! Tartine salmon is one of my favourite! Sandwich with Salami, pesto, cheese & hot honey 🍯 is also great!

Super confusing entrance if it's your first time here. You have to enter through the main entrance at 780 Brewster st. If you come during opening, don't expect them to have any food/bakery items ready. Good (expensive) coffee & drinks, & lots of seating.
Version café d'un speakeasy en quelque sorte grand espace avec une belle déco & des choix de drinks intéressants. J'ai pris le matcha à la fraise, un vrai délice!
Cute cafe with a bright, airy atmosphere. The big windows bring in a lot of natural sunlight & there are different seating arrangements, making it a comfortable place to enjoy a coffee with friends, or get some work done at the communal table. Music on top of voices can be a little loud at times. Food & drinks wise, got a chai latte & mocha, both very tasty. The food as well was pretty good, we tried the grilled cheese with tomato soup, & the smoked fish sandwich. We wanted a sweet treat & got the chocolate dessert which was rich & decadent (we couldn't finish it).

Great food & drinks! I ordered a tuna salad didn't expect it to be this good ! It had caviar, slices of albacore tuna & potatoes with a delicious sauce to bring it all together. Also got the matcha daffogato where the matcha shot is cold with a refreshing vanilla ice cream. Highly recommend! Very good price for the dish as well. My friend got the breakfast sandwich which was tasty as well & nicely seasoned.
